Two major defects of this car are brakes that fade after hard use and a relatively low fuel range. BMW ought to work on the stoppers on the newer batches.

Going back to low-tech engines, I guess Japanese reliability and Euro sophistication (except some Brits who still use pushrods as well) cannot be wrong.
