April 5th, 2006 07:54 AM #1i've seen a few civics and corollas with black engine hoods. while my gut tells me most of the samples i've seen were done for purely porma reasons, something tells me me istorya behind it. pakikwento naman sa isang hamak na newbie B)

Porma lang yun.
O kaya nabangga, pinalitan ng hood pero spray paint na lang ng flat black.

Pero madaming naka Civic na talagang carbon fiber ang mga hood nila. Dami ko nakikita sa macapagal pag weekend but the majority of the cars with black hood does not have the real thing.
Actually, kaya naman carbon fiber ang ginagamit nilang hood is para light weight and it's actually for "racing use" and syempre mas maporma.

most of my friends na naka fibre hoods ay naka body color naman i think its about projecting. but hey, kanya kanyang trip lang yan sa mga eroplano naman they use it as 'anti glare'...just a thought
PS: di maganda magreflect ng init ang flat black.

what i don't get is those people who sport real/fake CF hoods - then have heavy speakers and whatnots in the trunk.
