Avg Speed on Route B = 14 km/h

if you have a mileage of 8km/l

Consumption on Route A = 3.56L
Consumption on Route B = 1.75L

Which translates to double fuel consumption on Route A than on Route B. So in a month if you spend only the weekdays going through these routes back and forth....you'd spend 2.5k on gas on Route B, 5k on Route A (1L=36Pesos) but would be on the road 6 hours and 40 mins more on Route A than on Route B.

So I chose "C" also

kala ko itong thread na ito eh pang cardio exercises eh. anyway, option a din ako. the 2 kms distance does not matter for you are frequently using the 5th gear.

pagkakaalam ko, the more time you spend on the higher gears, much better for fuel economy.

what's more, i'd rather drive traffic-free for 30 minutes. hell, i'd even enjoy it!

Wrong assumption. You don't assume the same mileage (km/li) for both routes. At 5th gear, your mpg (or km/li) is higher than on lower gears.

OptionA - less strain on the engine, clutch and transmission,- better on the car. Less tension, better on the driver.

what is ur opportunity cost of time???

if the 10 minute difference will cost you ur job or any pending business deals, it is better to spend a little more money on gas, tire wear, etc.

we should always include other imputed costs which we may usually overlook. ika nga, time is gold!!!
