The MMDA is even planning the total junking the UVVRP, considering that traffic in Metro Manila has improved because of road rehab work and effective traffic management.

Kaso nga lang mahirap 'to.... For example you live in Alabang. Office mo sa Fort tapos biglang may assignment ka na urgent in Makati, coding day mo pala, pano na? Uwi ka pa sa Alabang just to change cars kasi alam mong mapapadaan ka sa Makati?

Here are some updates on Metro Manila's Number-Coding Vehicular Traffic
Reduction Scheme:

1. Of the 16 cities/municipalities comprising the Metropolitan Manila
Development Authority (MMDA), only Makati and the City of Pasay do not allow
for a 10AM-3PM window in their respective number-coding traffic reduction
schemes. Thus, on your vehicle's courtesy day (see Note below) , you are
not allowed to travel within these 2 areas between 7 am and 7 pm, subject to
the exceptions in Items 4 and 5 below.

(Note: Courtesy day is the day that your vehicle is not allowed to
ply the streets of Metro Manila between the hours of 7 in the AM and
7 in the PM. It is determined by the ending number of your vehicle's license
plate, thus: vehicles with license plate numbers ending either in 1
or 2 are not allowed on Mondays; 3 or 4, on Tuesdays; 5 or 6, on
Wednesdays; 7 or 8, on Thursdays; and, 9 or 0, on Fridays).

2. The City of San Juan, which before did not allow a window, is now
allowing a 10AM-3PM window during one's courtesy day.

3. The City of Pasig has lifted its number-coding scheme. There is no
courtesy day in this city. Paranaque, too, has suspended its number-coding
scheme, but the exemption benefits only private vehicles. Passenger jeepneys
are still subject to the same scheme.

4. Travel along the major thoroughfares of EDSA, C-5 or South Superhighway
(even at stretches traversing the territories of Makati and Pasay) is
allowed even during one's courtesy day, but only within the 10AM - 3PM
window.

5. Travel along the Pasay portion of Roxas Boulevard and Pres. Macapagal
Avenue is allowed at all times of any day. These areas of Pasay are
excepted from the city's number-coding scheme. Beware however of MMDA
traffic personnel who might insist that it's MMDA's traffic ordinance that
is being enforced in these areas and not the city traffic ordinance of
Pasay.

6. In the Manila portion of Roxas Boulevard and Pres. Macapagal Avenue, your
vehicle is allowed to travel only within the 10AM-3PM window during your
courtesy day.
