this thread is dedicated to people who wants to set up their car on versions which they prefer.

some kasi mix mix ang banat.

me, personally wala ako alam sa mga versions. so maybe this thread will give tips to newbies who wishes to make their babies look more "stig".

well, before what version to decide on your cars, you first have to check if your car truly has a version you are aiming for. search the net for pics and where the the pic originated for. for otep's pajero for example, if he wants a euro look, he should badge it as shogun.

my car is orginally USDM, but slowly i'm conveting it to JDM.

assuming, may stock kang Toyota Corolla...and you wishes a certain version look, what things do you have to consider? what parts dapat palitan...grill, bumper, lights, etc.? and how do they differ from one another?...sensya na kung matanong po.

In Japan, as far as i know these are the following versions that came out for the AE101 body that did not come out locally:

    I. Sprinter - you would need to change the ff:
    Front bumper
    Grille
    Rear bumper
    Rear garnish
    ENTIRE REAR FENDER PORTION :worried:

Reason being is that the rear quarter portion of sprinters are a bit shortened compared to local 101s. Medyo madugo ang conversion if you ask me although i already have seen a couple of local conversions.

II. Wagon - you would need to change the ff:
    Front bumper
Headlight and clearance into those crystalized versions with black housing
    Grille
ENTIRE REAR PORTION for obvious reasons coz its a wagon.

Have already seen 2 locally that has converted its entire front end to wagon. Kinda pricey as far as i know. The bumpers along would cost you around 35K!!! last i checked.

III. Levin - you would need to change the ff:
    THE ENTIRE CAR

That's because I think the Levins that came out in Japan are all 2door coupes (might be wrong though - correct me if i'm wrong anyone na lang).

IV. FX - you would ned to change the ff:
    Grille
    Emblem of the grille
Change your bumps to the SE Limited version (with foglamps)

Duno if you also have to change your headlights to those crystallized ones since i've already seen a couple of japanese pix with these headlights installed.

All in all, i think the FX look is that which is easily achievable. But then again, this is just my opinion.

Others, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong na lang.

    HTH!

    Gian

madugo nga...palitan ba naman buong rear portion? actually simple lang naman trip ko, palit palit lang mga parts... not really after a total look. just trying to avoid magmukang jologs/baduy. (i.e. euro plates for jap look).

    anyway, thanks sa info Gian

    keep on coming peeps.......;)

    Sa rides ko.....

My RAV4 was originally meant for Norway / Scandinavia. So, by definition, Euro version na talaga. Im keeping it stock except for minor mods like headlight bulbs and clear cheek lights. Once lumabas na rito yung hood na may hood scoo, definitely bibili ako nun.

Sa pajero naman... and daming version na existing, halos lahat ng visible changes, nasa taillight.

    GeN2 Pajero
    USDM... Amber front clearance lamp.
    No round cheeklight
Tailight = Amber, REd, red (pababa)
two bumper lights both white (reverse)

EuDM ... All white front clearance lamp
    Amber cheek light
    Tailight = Blackout, white, red
Euro Bumper lights - red and amber (brake & turn)

    PinoyDM... Amber/White clearance lamps
    Amber fender lights
    tailight = red, amber|white, red
    No bumper lights
JDM... Same as PinoyDM except that it has the Euro clearance lamp.

    PajeroKidDM - Chopsuey
Japanese Ver Clearance lamps (orig to ha!)
Clear fender lamps (depo coz walang orig na clear)
    Pinoy Tailamps
Japanese ver. rear foglamp (gen1 vintage)

pwede ring diamond edition front bumper and grille, and diamond edition taillights para sa JDM version.

Or worse, euro plates on extended bumpers with rear fog light.
