Ummm, yeah. I've pushed that car so hard, I had to replace almost every gasket because the engine leaked so much oil.

It doesn't leak now and runs like it's brand new (I love these Ford Duratecs). But, my wallet's also a lot lighter. Uh huh. Money Pit on wheels.

Still, it corners like a dream due to that sports suspension. I never did see too many Contours with the sports suspension (gives it that low-slung, sporty look up front), even when it was still popular.

    96 Civic VTi A/T

    - A/T takes too long to downshift, also needlessly upshifts sometimes.
    - Poor quality on central door locking (better to remove than repair and repair)
    - Noticeably higher turning radius than Corolla
    - Suspension not durable enough for our roads, and the front part cannot be cambered.

    96 Corolla GLi M/T

    - Far-from-slick shifter
    - At least 500 rpm shy of fun
    - Rear right tail light (red/white) prone to leaks and moisture (occurs in several other models)
    - Front end too high, sort of floats at high speed, but an inch drop can do wonders.

    95 Corolla GLi SE Limited

Sound system that can't go boom boom... Need to save up to get this one setup...

For the first few minutes after starting, the rpm fluctuates when releasing the gas pedal and stopping. Stabilizes after a while though.

    Lighter doesn't work.

Nothing major on my car. Can't really complain. It's a very good condition car. I got lucky with this prize find.

    - noisy engine, noisy cabin, noisy brakes
    - no abs, rear drum brakes
    - notchy stickshift
    - bone-shaking, awful ride comfort
    - cheap plastic interior trim
