if you are in the rightmost lane and signaling to turn right, then you have the right of way. like what i said earlier, the vehicle that is in the lane always has right of way. since you are already in that lane and ahead, then you have right of way.

same goes for turning left, if you are in the leftmost lane and signaling left, then you have right of way.

exception is trucks and trailers, these vehicles are long and may need more space for turning. besides, you surely do not want to contest right of way with an 18-wheeler!

yun nga palang sabi ko earlier na safe distance between vehicles, that means the length of the vehicle that needs to brake/stop in case of collision avoidance. so let's say the vehicle behind is a car and both of you are travelling at 60kph, then it's 4 car lengths distance. if the vehicle is an 18-wheeler trailer truck that you are overtaking, then it's 4x18-wheeler truck lengths distance.
