Kahit na based siya from the old Celica, I bet people would still buy it at that price ($12,300) for simply being a toyota and having better looks than the current model Vios and Yaris.

Heard this a while back. Since no one else is carrying the story, I won't hold my breath.

Just give me an Avanza, a torch, and some fiberglass resin...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

diba meron nmn yung scion tC? mukang ok naman yun saka mura eh.. anyhow, from the B-pillar back, its closely derived from the latest celica that came out.

the white chop resembles the celica 2 generations back (or is it the supra?)

The white and black Trueno is based on a concept I made for CarSpyShots... its got no Honda in it... all Toyota.

    This chop...

is based on the custom Scion xD(bodykit + big wheels)

But the resemblance to the concept car to the current Civic is just too similar IMHO. What's more, they took the "crease line" from the belt line just like in the Celica and used that from the apex of the front wheel arch until the tail lights. Celicang-celica dating eh.

Is this a sign that Toyota is trying to revive old models to "catch up"?

this is something manufacturers forgot to do to dominate the market.

    Rear Wheel Drive
    Japanese CBU
    Economic Coupe
    Sports Car Styling
    and..

    $13000?

Sounds to good to be true. Prices has always doubled when it comes to the Philippines. Look at the Lancer Evo. My guess it'll be about 900-1m
