fellow car-addicts!! i need your opinions here.
My family has a mid-80s Corona and I am considering restoring it. it needs major body work and a new paint job.
Just some questions: is it worth restoring in the first place or should we just sell it as it is dirt-cheap (which means it could go to a junkyard? i also think its very underpowered because it weighs a lot. whats a good engine to replace its stock machine?
thanks all to future replies

IMO, if you're talking full restoration its not worth it unless you really love old Toyotas (i like those old restored Martial Law Toyota Crowns). I doubt the money spent will be recovered by an increased value.
Is this the model with the big rectangle headlights upfront?

yeah thats the one. i think you are right, the restoration cannot be viewed with the end result of selling, meaning if i am going to restore this, i might as well keep it. thanks for your response.
anymore opinions on the matter.
^Thanks for the advise guys. Already replaced all.
