Depends on the traffic and speed, say 6 hours drive ang Lucena. Another 6 hours Lucena to Naga. Naga to Legaspi around 3-4 hours.

Cloudy and wet morning here in Naga. Arrived Naga at 7pm last night. Started from Baguio at 4:30am. Hirap magdrive pag madilim na lalo na pag umuulan. Daming potholes sa daan hehe.

December 26th, 2008 09:43 AM #34Sorry late post..sana mabasa mo to along the road baka may visibility..Frequent traveller ako bicol to baguio pero usually midnight or late afternoon ako depart para mabilis at iwas traffic..Travel time depende sa average driving speed pero usually morning trips takes longer..Manila to Legazpi 10hrs regular trip on private cars pero kung matulin kaya ng 8-9hrs
From Manila expect congestion at SLEX and towns along the way..
Where to rest-sa mga gas stations select or treats..Kung may baon na food masarap mag picnic on top of Quezon national park(aka emi)-iwas dumaan sa ilalim ng emi truck route eto at lalim/haba ng potholes..Atimonan tapat ng dagat and all the way to Calaug dami seafoods..Hotel na pede ka matulog sa avesol(shell calaug) at before the check-point..dami sa Calaug rest points kasi eto ang nagiging half-way ng travel going to bicol..
2Plus2hrs sa trip pero mageenjoy ka sa nature sceneries going to daet, nakakapagod ang winding roads(initial d like) from sta elena to labo..1 out of 5 bridges na on going construction ang dadaanan(sta elena to bagong silang) at 1-lane lang ang passable nung 1 bridge(damaged by recent flash flood). Where to rest in daet-sa mall at hotels or kung gusto mo side trip 4kms away from town proper ay bagasbas beach/airport dami dun resto at surfing..
Quirino-Andaya higway madami ginagawa at rough roads..Sa sipocot area lang magiging pantay ang daan and all the way to Naga-Legazpi ok ang road.
Expect heavy to moderate precipitation along the way, check rainclouds-www.maybagyo.com. Safe driving and happy holidays

Sir J_avonni, sorry for the late reply. The first few kilometers of Quirino highway is under construction so maraming rough road doon. Some potholes nearing Naga City. Then from Naga City to Sorsogon the road is smooth. We are now checked-in at one of the resorts here at Rizal, Gubat, Sorsogon. As usual cloudy skies and beaches are windy tsaka malakas ang mga alon. Dropped by yesterday sa Mount Mayon. Only half of the mountain is visible. Hopefully gaganda ang panahon later today
. Good luck and have a safe trip to Bicol
.

Ingat lang bro.... And enjoy your trip to Bicol... Masarap ang sinaing na tulingan diyan....
I thought you're going to Boracay... Last minute change?....
Nagpa-full-tank ka ba sa North Fairview? Sinunod mo ba ang payo ni bro yebo?
Lastly, did you make sure that your house is fully secured?.... Kung may iniwanan kang tao, call him/her to make sure everything's okay... Tsaka to remind him/her of the dugo-dugo MO.....

The Boracay/Panay was still tentative. My kumander didn't like the idea of traveling by sea at this time. So I suggest to her the Bicol trip. She finally agreed when her sister and her family are coming with us.
Yes, nag-full tank ako sa Shell Fairview at P28.50 for a liter of diesel (minus 5% pa). Outside of Fairview up to Quezon, the prices range from P32 to P33.
Our house is fully secured.
Thanks.
We're staying overnight at Lopez, Quezon. Dito na kami inabot ng gutom and we decided to spend the night here.
I enjoyed the trip so far, especially inside the Quezon National Park.
