Just PM me kung ready na mga CAD. And since Christmas naman ngayon. I have a lot of free time. ;D

Darn, I hope I could learn operating a CAD since many people dont want to teach a Nursing Student.
*drey, *medyas - If you guys are serious about coming up with a prototype that has possibilities of becoming a mass-production people's car, I think I should be able to garner enough people to support the project financially (assuming the figure is realistic and not outrageous). After all, I think all the requisite skills and technical knowledge in designing/building a car can be found among the members of this forum.

I don't know anything about cars beyond starting and driving one, but I am very interested in projects that can serve as showcase for local talents and skills.

As for CAD training, my Rotary Club provides free training every year to our Interact Clubs (public high schools in Paco-Pandacan area). Among the courses offered is Introductory AutoCAD. The course consists of 12 2-hour class, 2-hour hands-on sessions held every Saturday for 12 consecutive weeks. The next schedule is August 2007. You are welcome to enrol (everything is free).

If that is too long a wait, if you guys have access to computers and can come up with around 3 - 5 students, I can request one of our scholars/trainers to teach you for free, preferably in the Paco-Pandacan or San Juan-Mandaluyong area.

    Let me know.

No Sossy Safety features... Basta equipped w/ 3pt ELR Seat Belts, and Crumple Zones or a very rugged front nose/hood. Basta may Passive Safety lahat.

Quality & Durability - since Business for Weekday and Family for Weekends.
Roof should be tough (Passive Safety).

Leg Room, Headroom, and Cargo Room should be the important thing in the interior. ANd oh, a quite cabin.

Should have a good aircon and seats.

Parang Kia Pride or a LAda pero more on the durability, capability, utility, as well as having a comfort potential.

I suggest they should start with a car to compete w/ Adventure, Innova and Crosswind. I also wanna suggest that they should also try to make single cabs to compete with L300 FB, L300 Pickups and Multicabs.

Speed is not a top priority. I guess torque is what it needs. Its good enough that it can cruise 120 kph.
    pwede nga yan sa 350K

Hahaha, exactly what the MVPMAP is thinking. If your reference standard for quality is NOTHING, you come up with TRASH.

    we should start smaller IMHO,

they should have produced a suzuki carry mechanical clone. hell, this vehicle has been cut up. welded back, reversed engineered.. etc etc maybe using a chinese supplied engine and parts of suzuki.

with the experience we have and the abundance of parts for this vehicle. we can come up with a vehicle thats. 1.) cheap to own and run. 2.) lots of spares. 3.) doesnt look like sh*t to our eyes, because we got used to its looks heheh 4.) I think it will look like suzuki mechanical clone. all suzuki underneath, and has updated 1970s ford cimarooon cab/head.

    [SIZE=4] Sure! Bakit naman hindi?!

I just felt sad when I mentioned this to someone na hindi member. Aalamin nya daw mabuti at bubusisiin lahat ng specs and engine, etc. ng PhUV.... pero nung binili nya yung Suzuki Jimny nya dati eh, di man nya lamang inalam na napakababa ng safety rating nito! Basta gawang Japan daw eh ok na ok sa kanya!

Bakit ba ganun, maraming Pinoy ang walang tiwala sa kapwa Pinoy OR napakataas lang ng tingin natin sa gawang dayuhan...

Ild like to support this, kaso the organizational structure doesnt seem like it will click.

One problem is that there is no particular company or singular entity taking charge. Many of our cooperatives have very good products but fail in the marketing/support due to this. If the guys who will manage the production and sales of the vehicle is an association/cooperative and not a corporation, I don't think this will go far.

I support local manufacturing whenever I can, and Il probably support this one. But I have apprehensions as to how far this will go.

yes...i will buy..but if the designers will satisfy & convince the people that it is worth buying:

first, the space of the vehicles should be accomodating. we all know na marami ang gustong sumama sa mga out-of-town trips kaya kailanga, medyo maluwag. not tomention yung mga baon natin for the trip.

second, the engine power should be able to pull the load, diesel siguro para torque wise, malakas pero responsive sa take-off and over-taking. we all know that if we travel, marami tayong dala. almost half of the kitchen, dala natin as baon.
at yung mga extra sa family member, kasama din dahil out-of-town ang trip.

third, the car should be economical, meaning, masu-sustain nung owner yung mentainance cost at yung everyday expense nya especially yung fuel.

fourth, dapat competitive yung design hindi yung halatang pinukpok lang sa tabi-tabi (no disrespect sa mga magagaling natin latero pero kung export quality ang habol natin, dapat, machine bended ang parts).

and finally, the very basic of all factors, the cost. the abovementioned qualities of the vehicle should all come into one package as standard specs for the design hindi yung wala ang isa dahil nasa ibang model etc,. dapat, isang kotse, nandun na lahat. pero dapat mura na hindi naman lugi yung manufacturer.

sana, makatulong ito sa mga gustong magdesign ng bagong PHUV. gawing sanang double-sliding ang rear doors para hindi hirap ang passengers sa pag-baba.

    more power to tsikoteers...
