Its hard to buy flooded car even the price is low . Specially those with electronic fuel injection were the sensor are very sensitive and hard to troubleshoot.

My car which was sold last January didn't have any problems in electronics since the Ondoy flood water didn't reach the ECU box. It ran smooth straight out the streets when water levels are low. The only thing I bought for it is a car freshener. It didn't had interior/exterior detailing but I'm quite sure rust will soon eat the floor up. I didn't even had it underwashed/undercoated. Screw me...

Beware of flooded cars. I'd rather buy one that's carburated, at least it has no risk of ECU failure.

For most of us who are regular owners of vehicles, I will not recommend it,- as surely, these vehicles have latent failures....

It will depend on how long it was under water. In QC most areas were dry within the day of the flood. In Pasig and Marikina it took days even weeks before water went down.

What that means is the longer the cars were underwater the more difficult it would be to be made usable. And worthwhile to buy.

The real issue is:what if the car was flooded but the seller is not declaring it? The casas in QC were all flooded during Ondoy. What did they do to those cars on display? Throw? Hmmmmm

then after ilang weeks nagkaproblem yun 3rd brake light and tail light....kala ko pundido lang bulb pinacheck ko mukhang sa switch ba un, nung check nya ask nya kng nabaha daw ba auto sabi ko hindi....sabi nung electrician mukha daw binaha kasi daw parang may ibang dumi yung switch ba yun...tas check nya iba wala naman na problem yun lang....sabi nya mukhang lagpas ng gulong inabot yun auto ng baha kasi inabot yun switch sa ilalim ng steering...

I'm one of those na nabiktima ng isang seller na hindi nya dineclare na na-ondoy fortuner nya! We asked him several times if nbaha and he told us never...we were convinced kasi kilala cya sa QUEZON CITY LTO. That was one of the biggest mistake I've ever made.I could have asked him first na ipacheck sa Toyota sasakyan before buying it..after 2 months bigla nagcheck engine, dinala ko sa toyota for check up,then I got the confirmation na na ondoy nga.Level D..hanggang bubong..and some parts were tampered..pina quote ko sa toyota how much we would be spending for it, 250k wla pa labor, and we bought the 4tuner for 815k...Saan na conscience ng taong to...

kung me choice.. siempre ayaw ko

nung college ako alam ko me nilusong ako na baha.. nung una mababa so diniretso ko mamaya tumaas, umabot hanggang winshield na lampas na sa hood, no choice im stocked..

it was with one of my early cars na honda before 90s... nangyari is palit engine.. i think tinry gawin ioverhaul pero pangit.. so bumili ng surplus 1.2 honda engine ok naman for several years, matipid and ok naman performance after. un nga lang lumabas ung kar after less than a year din inabot then parang bago ulit... mejo malaki din halaga nagasta pero mas makakamura kung palit engine in this scenario

mahirap pala bumili ng nabaha kasi nga yung mga wirings apektado ng corrosion
