I need suggestions and feedbacks. I am about to buy a car and I'm choosing between a 1998 Accord Vti 2.3 AT and a 1998 1.6 Corolla (lovelife) MT. Parehong hindi masyado gamit . It is for my wife and will be used mostly around the village. The price is not a concern, it's just that i have never owned a honda before and i have no idea about maintenance cost and other miscellaneous expenses. 5.5 to 6km to a liter daw yung accord. Thanks a lot in advance.

October 9th, 2006 09:53 AM #4Suggest you go for the Accord. It's way up there, in terms of performance, comfort, looks and safety, compared to Corolla.
Also, AT vs. MT. AT na siyempre for my one and only.

October 9th, 2006 02:09 PM #9Ordinarily, I'd go with the Accord, since it's value for money. The thing is, though, since it's gonna just be for within-the-village driving, it might be better to get the Corolla. Less fuel consumption, cheaper parts.

October 10th, 2006 03:27 AM #15accord- high maintenance. but comfortable compared to corolla. if you are thinking for a comfortable ride for wife, of course go for accord but prepare for high maintenance and of course fuel.

October 10th, 2006 03:44 AM #16accord no doubt .... hindi ka magsisi for me isa sa pinaka ok na gamitin at idrive yung accord model na yan ... if money is not a concern so i guess even fuel consumption wala rin ... they are all right its not even close and in the same league yung corolla compared to the accord ... go for the accord !

October 10th, 2006 03:46 AM #17+1 accord. as for maintenance, i guess it follows that the accord will cost you more being a mid-size sedan with an auto tranny at that, compared to the compact corolla with a manual tranny. but then again, you mentioned that price is not a concern and most important factor is, it will be for your wife...
