Why would anyone consciously pass gas in the car? I am glad my Dad or brother never did that because I will seriously get mad. And they don't want that!

it is like stool-passing. it may be delayed for a more convenient time. but there is a limit for the delay, after which the inevitable is reality.

For me, I don't like my passenger to be noisy (as in annoying) while I'm driving. No eating allowed inside the car, because I have to deal with the mess that was left behind. I can take a back seat driver but up to a certain extent only.

I know a lot of old people who just know how to drive, but aren't smooth about it at all.

    - Doesn't know how to rev match when downshifting, leading to jerkiness
    - Abrupt and staggered steering inputs, disrupting the car's balance
    - Poor modulation of brakes when stopping, very strong recoil when approaching a full stop

These are taught in proper driving schools, and these are universal skills that are applicable even in racing.

I've also had bad experiences with old people driving my cars... thats why i prefer to drive my own cars [emoji1]

when gramps drove my car a few years back; at the stoplight, he suddenly revved the car very high then slammed it to drive (its an automatic). the tires were screeching and the car was shaking, i was so scared! and the way he cornered, akala ko mag ro-roll over kami! my whole body was literally nakadikit sa side! maybe he just wanted to bring back the glory days of being young... sorry, OT na hehehe...

Hehehe,- I just remembered commenting something to our Tito who was driving his favorite Volvo in NJ, and I was one of his passengers (together with his loving wife, my loving wifey and my in-law)....

I jokingly told him that he was doing the famous CA rolling stop in an all-way stop (intersection).

He never talked with me the whole day (that day only)... However, up to this day, I still regret making that "joke-comment"....

that's very bad for the tranny. the less harmful way to launch is to hold the brake pedal and then rev, but neither is recommended.

when i was younger, i prided myself in my smooth-driving skills.
now, i am older, i find my skills aren't as smooth as before.
it's not the poorly-learned driving skills, as it is the degenerative changes of olding age.

Our racing mentor, coach Vip Isada, is a senior citizen already but I doubt I could ever drive as smoothly as he does.

This particular topic was not covered much by my instructor sa A1 considering na I enrolled for a 15 hour class with many 2 hour sessions. Anyways, had to self study about it (read online articles and even watch those how to drive videos sa youtube).

So far sa 1 year and x months experience ko in driving, I had 3 accidents. 2 accident sa garage while parking and moving out our vios and montero (damn, learned the hard way na iba idrive ang suv sa sedan) then one involving a third party pero minor damage lang (butas sa bumper niya). Oh well those accidents were during my newbie days and lessons were learned.

BTT I really hate how our new driver drives our Montero, hindi maalaga sa kotse [emoji19]
