....i'll be out of the country for 3 weeks and my car would just be sitting in the garage for that same length of time. ano ba dapat kong gawin para pagbalik ko kondisyon pa rin oto ko? do i just disconnect the battery and re-connect it when i come back?

...parang alangan akong ibilin sa maid na painitin makina ng oto ko araw araw eh.

3 weeks lang should be fine.

Kahit hindi mo idisconnect puede. But then again, mas safe (I think) to disconnect. Make sure your tires are not punctured para hindi magdeflate when you're out. Or pede mo rin i-jack stand ito para kahit na magdeflate hindi masira ang gulong.

    my 2 cents.

yun lang ba yun? la kasi akong jackstand eh. inaalala ko rin nabaka mag-oblong goma coz of the weight of the car on one particular patch of rubber for 3 weeks.

you can buy jackstands at DIY shops. My gf's car is parked in our house while she's abroad for three months. I use her car about twice a week to keep things in good condition.

no problem yan pare ko. me i go out of the pinas every 4 weeks. 4 weeks ako dyan, 4 weeks ako dito sa work abroad (actually going home this wednesday na). dehins ko disconnect ang battery, no jack stands either. pag 4 weeks lang no problem yan. ang masama pag yun matagal talaga, like 3 months kasi ma-oblong gulong mo saka drain ang battery. 12 years ko na ginagawa (on different cars syempre palit ng car pag luma na) wala epek yan.

no problem yan...3 weeks, i've done it countless time..so far no problem, hassle kase if ur goin to disconn the battery..u'll lose ur Car security Alarm, u'll have to reset once again the clock. I had routinely done this due to my work, but have a question relating to this topic...How d ou maintain ur car if u seldom used it? change oil in particular..is it by no. of Km or 6 months. am just averaging 700km a month lang am driving a Honda.

    Jiggs,

ang recommended ay every 5,000 km OR after 6 months, whichever comes first

...ahhh... salamat mga tsongki. pano kunwari matagal ka talagang mawawala. di kaya lahat ng langis ay baka mapunta na sa oil pan at wala ng nakakapit sa makina mismo. di ba delikado i-start na lang ang makina?

technique dyan ganito para sure ka may oil yun cylinders mo. make sure cold ang engine. then start mo engine BUT run it for 10 seconds only at high idle AFTER the oil light turns off. this way the oil has circulated through (may pressure na off na yun oil light di ba) and the oil will not easily flow kasi malamig pa. that cold oil will stay on the cylinder walls and bearings after you shut off the engine. hot oil will mostly flow down. then when you start your engine again after 3 weeks ok lang sya.
