    Having just resigned from a company but not yet cleared, I need to register my car that I had acquired using my former employer's car plan. They can only release the OR until I'm cleared and they said that is good enough to register the car.

    Is this true? Has anyone tried this before?

    Kahit xerox ng CR wala ka ba (since you are bound by law to carry a copy of the CR in your vehicle at all times)?

    I’ve been registering our cars since 80’s with only Xerox copy of OR though I have a copy of the CR. CR no. is located on the OR.

    You need the OR/CR pare in order for you to have it registered. Maybe what they meant was for you to renew the registration (still under their name).

    Yes, I do have a xerox copy of the CR. Is that good enough?

    Yes, the car is still registered to the company and they will transfer it to my name once cleared na ako.

    Acceptable na yan for renewal still under the name of the Company muna. You should also bring the following:

    1. Emission test score (dapat passed);
    2. Stencil of engine and chassis number in LTO form;
    3. Insurance Premium COC (TPL);
    4. Photocopy of OR/CR;

    HTH. . .

    Ok na kahit photocopy lang ng CR. Basta importante yung original ng OR, kasi binabalik yun sa LTO.

    Pag nagpaparehistro ako ng sasakyan, never ko pang nilabas ang original ng CR (nasa Unionbank kasi dahil I bought the car through financing).

    Well, assuming the car is mortgaged, cancellation is the first step. Otherwise, a duly-notarized deed of sale would suffice, along with the TMG clearance

    you need to have at least a xerox copy of your CR. inaattach nila yun sa mga documents.

    Sir shadow, AFAIK in terms of transfer of ownership, the original CR is surrendered and cancelled and the new CR under the name of the buyer is issued.

    are we talking about transfer of ownership? hehehehe :ooops: I thought just a regular car registration :doh:

    if that's the case then your right original OR/CR is needed...

    seems iba-iba yata ang ang mga LTO pagdating sa renewal ah. I do renew at their Sto Domingo branch in Biak na Bato and aside sa insurance at emission test OR lang (xerox pa nga) ang binibigay ko…in case hanapin nila orig OR dala ko naman pati ang xerox copy ng CR. Good thing lumipat na sila from their mayon / retiro area – masikip dun at daming fixer…. Dito sa may Sto. Domingo maayos, maluwag at mabilis….lapit pa sa simbahan kaya siguro maayos sila

    meron dito sa binondo..if you want I can PM you their office numbers...dati sila na lang nag register ng mga cars namin since walang hassle at home service pa..ibigay mo lang lahat ng documents sila na bahala..pero mataas na kasi chrage nila eh...eh since mabilis na lang mag register ngayon so ako na mismo gumagawa...

Can you just register your car with just the OR only?
