oi one sided itong thread na to ah. it's understandable, everyone yearns power in any form. but there are certain people who'd go after the appearance factor probably initially, then follow it up with performance upgrade afterwards. cost might be the primary reason- e.g. cheap bodykit over expensive cf/titanium parts. wow factor may come in next basically aimed at the opposite ***- don't ask, it works. novelty value factor ranks high among afficionados of vintage car restoration while for artists/showbiz pips/royalties, passion factor would be their inspiration. in other words, aesthetic sensibility for some people give them some kind of exclusivity. I guess your choice really depends on where you're coming from. different strokes for different folks, yes?

Performance for me. Looks you appreciate if you are standing outside the car to see it, unfortunately I drive the car from inside so I can't see how it looks to appreciate it. From inside the car the only thing you can really appreciate is the performance while you are driving it.

Tumataas gas consumption with performance upgrades and you endanger your life and passengers with the urge to go vroooommmm.

judging by the car i drive...performance, definitely, cos she's not much of a looker.

if we are talking about some fictional car like choosing an ugly, with faded paints muscle car between a porche that runs like 50hp. then I would choose looks.

if we are talking about real cars like a turbocharged/nitrous toyota corolla 1991, between a corolla 1991 with REAL decent (not flashy) looking bodykit with decent rims. then I'd still go for looks.

I can't picture only one option. new cars looks good enough regardless how well or bad it performs...
