Agreed.
Given the TS' current lifestyle, he will not be around for a year and it seems he has no definite plans to stay in the country beyond a few short visits. In that kind of case, it would be better to sell the vehicle and just rent/hire/borrow a car when you are visiting the country.

Mahirap pala talaga or imposible pala talaga mag store ng walang maraming problema. Ang problema ko lang mga sir, matagal na kami walang sasakyan, hassle talaga pag uuwi ka. Walang masakyan, sa probinsya namin tricycle ang ang main public means of transportation. Merong rent-a-car service pero walang self drive. And yung bahay namin is more than 30 kilometers away from the city proper with mix paved, gravel, tarmac at pag rainy season, mud (parang rally) kaya po 4x4 kaya baka mahirapan sa rent a car. Marami nmn options, like bibili ng bahay sa malapit, pero ganun din wala pa ring sasakyan
Storing a car is what I really wanted, I am aware of the options and considered it. Naisip ko rin kung meron lang kami kamag anak na pwede pagka tiwalaan, sa kanila namin iiwan ang sasakyan, bsta wag lang lalaspagin pero wala. Selling it is not an option for me. My only choice is to store a car to the best possible condition. Hope you understand![]()
I plan it to store for 1 year and a few months.
1.) fill fuel tank
2.) change oil & filter
3.)clean interior, make sure carpet & mats are completely dry
4.) parking brake off, 5spd in reverse, auto in Park - no reason why? just do it!!
5.)block the rear wheels
6.) if car is to be stored for a longer priod, it should be supported by jackstands
7.) leave one window slightly open if stored indoors
8.) disconnect battery
9.) support front wiper blades with a folded towel or rag so they do not touch the windshield
10.) apply silicone spray lube to all door and trunk seals (to avoid sticking)
11.) cover the car with a "breathable" cover
12.) if possible run the engine periodically, once a month
Hi sirs. How about for rat protection? I’m thinking to put a rat killer or just use mothballs/other natural remedy to keep rats away by placing it below the car? Thanks in advance
