PS: baka puro candy coating lang yan hehehe...anyways,EFI ba?
hmmm...very interesting! It definitely has some of the silhouette of the Charade.
Reliability? This we got to see.![]()
thats benji for you, the resident DCP car expert..ala ernie baron...tawagan kita mamayang 5 sa ofis ha![]()
gearspeed and I went there this morning but we were not allowed to take pics of the interior but here are some info that I got:
-1st batches of Geely HA1.0 are CBU
-2nd batches of Geely HA1.0 will be built in Sta Rosa (yes, it will be assembled here)
-Colors available: green, red, yellow, blue (but when CKD kicks in, silver, black and white will be added)
-The display unit had a defective handbrake (I called the attention of the SA and told her "Ms, nakababa yung handbrake", she replied "paki taas". Tinaas ko naman pero ayaw umakyat. Tinaas ni gearspeed, ayaw din, tinaas nung SA, ayaw talaga.
-Rear "Geely" logo has traces of excess adhesive gel
-Window rollers are not aligned
-Open and close the doors, tunog filling cabinet/old car kasi kulang ng rubber lining.
-squeeking door handles
-i observed gearspeed sa pagsara ng door, hindi makuha ng dalawang beses.
-A/C switches difficult to rotate (according to gearspeed)

i have a strange feeling na di masyado papatok yan dito...
from what i see OVERPICED sya for its worth...id buy an echo or jdm starlet na lang or better yet add more money and we have the compact korean sedans na...ayayay...
also on the brighter side,at least they can provide jobs to many poor filipino mechanics now seeking employments after the closure of columbian and many other similar car plants...

Not sure if I'll buy cars Chinese-brand cars in the near future.
I won't know if I'll feel comfortable buying cars from a communist country.
Really don't know.
Hehe...almost everything from rubber shoes, appliances to cell phones comes from Communist China! Why be uncomfortable.? China today is not really a Communist state...Look at their economy!Originally Posted by Blackraven
The real Daihatsu Charade Clone was the Tianjin Tj1000 (it actually looked like the Charade G100), since this was made in joint venture with Daihatsu itself and a state-owned company. Now with the proliferation of auto parts suppliers in China supporting these joint ventures, one of China's few privately held car manufacturing companies like Geely, had tapped these supply chains to build their own car version from top to bottom! Very ingenious!

OT: chinese-english ba kako gusto nyo o jap-lish ala 'all ur bases are belong to us'...punta kayo sa engrish.com magsawa kayo hehehe
that's no surprise. it's the famous Chinese build quality.-The display unit had a defective handbrake (I called the attention of the SA and told her "Ms, nakababa yung handbrake", she replied "paki taas". Tinaas ko naman pero ayaw umakyat. Tinaas ni gearspeed, ayaw din, tinaas nung SA, ayaw talaga.

i think the Chinese motorcycles are known for that. i know that the Chinese-manufactured telescopes (i'm an amateur astronomer) are known for that.
i think EVERYTHING from China is known for that. the build quality is poor, and the quality control is spotty. for 350k... tapos 50% downpayment pa (no financing)... mag Cefiro or 8G Galant nalang ako! hahahahahahahaha!
As they say
21st Century is the Chinese Century!
Nice price!!!! Hope Quality and after sale service are good
i think we should encourage cars like these, in time mag-iimprove din yan quality coz of the demand. patok na patok sa mga starting families or small families. and the greatest benefit, mabawasan na yun demand sa inefficient public transport like tricycles & jeepneys. imagine papunta ka palang ng main sakayan gastos ka na ng 10-15 pesos sa tricycle.
sana yun other rich fil-chinese traders mag-pasok din dito ng kani-kanilang version ng geely 1.0 para lalo pa mag-improve ang quality coz of competition.
no pun intended. pero dapat magkaroon din sila ng originality. a way back i saw in a car magazine how these chinese imitated designs of other automakers. while it is true that someday they will improve their products, but if they kept on imitating designs it will be useless. i also read on a certain motoring column, that one day, and someday that day may never come, we cannot tell the difference between the real mccoy to the fake ones.Originally Posted by oldblue
yes, they should stop copying designs if they want the international market to take them seriouslyOriginally Posted by ian_rex

i watched this American movie before, 80's setting. they're making fun of jap cars that are exported in the US. puro daw copycats.Originally Posted by ian_rex
I'd say there's still room for improvement.lots of it actually. at least China have been able to start their own brand. Sana tayo narin sumunod (yung original ha).![]()
