Ano ba ang difference ng dalawa. Alin ang mas ok para sa inyo? considering the fuel efficiency, performance, and syempre price.

Carburetors are old-school fuel systems. EFI are used in most cars nowadays, and they offer better fuel efficiency. I don't exactly know the difference between the two, but EFI is a more advance system.

    AFAIK

Kung ang habol mo efficiency ng fuel delivery, then get an EFI. Kasi sa EFI, controlled ng ECU (Engine Control Unit, tama ba?) ang delivery ng fuel sa engine mo, meaning the ECU will only pump the necessary amount of fuel that your engine needs, sa carb cars hindi.

Kaya lang sa EFI, meron kang ECU na kapag nasira eh mahal, sa carb engines wala kang ECU. Although hindi naman basta-basta nasisira ang ECU.

    Your choice.

Experts correct me if I'm wrong.

Definitely EFi is the way to go. It offers better fuel efficiency, more power and easier maintenance. Pero carbs are still with us. Mas madaling i-trouble shoot ang carbs compared to ECU driven EFIs whenever problems arise. Ito ay dahil kung nasa probinsya ka at walang electronic diagnostic equipment for EFIs at meron ka lang backyard mechanic.

EFI simply because it delivers the exact amount of fuel when its needed by the engine. Yung Carb, purely atmospheric factors lang ang nag-didictate ng bigay ng fuel. too long to explain. Disadvantage lang ng efi ay kapag nasira, mahal at mahirap gawin. Unlike carbs, kahit sinong decent old-skool mechanic kayang i dis-assemble and repair to.

another problem sa carb is it can't change the amount of fuel it pumps without adjustment. pag car mo carb and tuned for driving around here, big chance you'll stall if you take it up to baguio. you'll have to adjust manually to compensate for the altitude, unlike an EFI where you have a computer that will do that automatically an on-the-fly.

    basic difference:

injectors are electronically controlled. carbs are mechanically controlled.

EFI: Fuel efficient kaso adjustment & repair can only be done by casa.
Carb: Easy to clean kahit DIY.

based on experience, di nagkakalayo fuel consumption ng carb na 1300cc 2E engine at EFI na 1600cc B16 engine...mas masaya ako sa B16 dahil di bitin at mas mataas ang hp given the same amount of fuel...walang engine mods po yan....

Carburator or EFI?
