If this applies to you, please send me your ownership/driving experience with your cars (specify if manual or automatic). I just want to conduct a survey on the satisfaction rating of '93-'96 Corolla GLi's. Share all the good and bad points of your car, even the pettiest ones. Also include the odometer reading if possible.

Anyway, it's also for your own good, but great thanks if you could share your stories.

how would it be for our own good? just wondering..

i drive a 94 GLi Manual with 102000K on the odo, got it 2nd hand...

wrote a review some time back in epinions... http://www.epinions.com/content_65300565636

pretty good car for the price... but I've always been a big-car lover, so a car like a rolla isn't really my cup of tea if I had a choice... still, i'm happy with it and how it has served my needs over the years...

yung akin ay 95 corolla gli with odo reading of 98,000km, second owner and 4 years na sa akin.

it's very reliable and durable at hindi ka rin mapapahiya sa hatawan. overall, no headache with it over the past 4 years. this car of mine didn't breakdown on me. below are the repairs done,

    1. replaced rear shocks - was actually my fault dahil walang lubak lubak sa akin noon (this was 3 years ago)
    2. replaced front, rear, and lh engine support (2 years ago)
    3. replaced rack-end, tie rod end, and ball joint (1.5 years ago)
    4. replaced timing belt, tensioner, oil seals, and alternator belt at the same time - odo reading of 96k.
    5. replaced clutch disk, pressure plate, release bearing, and driveshaft oil seal - last month lang.

current problem ko is the rack and pinion leak, though it's not really giving me headache dahil salin lang naman kapag bumaba level. oks pa rin ang steering niya.

anyway, how can we benefit nga pala?

95 gli. 89T km reading. Its really nice car, good engine response, good ergonomics. My current problem is the transmission(manual). What seems to be the problem? Pati steering ay medyo bumigat. Any idea what might be causing the troubles?

mine is 96 gli. 2nd hand ko nakuha. 75k++ na ang odo, nung april 02 ko nakuha. already added some accs. but some parts are already for replacement due to wear and tear, which is normal naman daw according to some auto mechanics i have inquired.

colt 45, bro, pa check mo yung pressure plate mo, ganyan din yung sa akin dati. hth.

squala, how can this be for our own good, just wonderin, like the others...

colt: clutch assembly mo pacheck mo, pressure plate, clutch disc and release bearing... sabay mo na tatlo kasi isa lang labor charge mo, yung steering naman, check mo for leaks sa steering rack and mga hoses kung may leak... pacheck mo narin steering pump mo, i think yun yung problem kung walang leak na evident.

in my car, mga problems na normal lang (due for replacement) di ko kinoconsider na negative points, mga iba lang, like power windows, locks (mostly electrical accessory) ang naiinis ako... the others (major mechanical) wala akong reklamo...

one thing i dislike about the corolla (lalo na yung red mica na akin)... halos kada hinto ng stoplight may kaparehas ka (GLi lang kasi may red-mica diba)... ilang beses na nangyari sakin sa parking lot, i tried opening a car that's not mine hehehe...

    colt45,

    The Shell number is 9125205

When you call, look for Arnel, tell them na customer ka nya... coz if it's a personal call thing, mapapagalitan sila...

Major problem i hav now is the power steering...any of you guys know where i can hav everything fixed, the tube, pump, rack & pinion stuff etc...
