10Best irregardless of category. Mahaba ang reasoning diyan (but sounds logical). They do include an explanation with every 10Best issue.
Meron akong copy ng 1986 10Best. Kelan ba ang unang 10Best? 1985?

Car and Driver's "BMW bias" has been a long-standing criticism of the magazine.
But what is the bias? When a BMW model gets old, and Audi or Mercedes releases a newer, better car, sometimes, the BMW loses.
While Car and Driver's math and calculations for group tests is often arbitrary and faulty (sometimes, they don't agree with their own math, but publish the winner according to it, anyway), their summations and observations regarding the cars is always fairly accurate.
And, yes, why not BMWs? If you send a testing crew a car that handles well, drives spiritedly and feels good to drive, of course they'll love it. If the testers never have to sit in the cramped back-seat (3-series) or deal with paying for long-term maintenance issues inherent with modern European cars, of course they'll love it.
C&D's Mini long-term report summed it best. Minis, being BMW-made, suffered from tons of niggling faults... but all the owners still loved it, because, basically, it's a front-wheel drive BMW, and it drives like one.
Basically, their top ten is varied, but each of their cars exemplifies certain qualities that make them a choice for the enthusiast or buyer...
Corvette - still crappy interior... quality issues, but it's fast and very capable
Chrysler 300C - so-so handling... but it channels the spirit of the good old bad days of muscle cars...
Accord - boring for some, but a fast, capable and comfortable cruiser
Fit - small, tinny, but fun...
Etcetera...
The BMW 3-series? The only complaint you can really lodge against it is that the rear seat still isn't very big, but otherwise, it's one of the best premium compact sedans out there.
