hi guys....
want to get your opinion. my mom (celebrating her 68th bday soon) is requesting that she gets an SUV as a gift for her upcoming birthday.
because i already know someone from Ford (kasi Ford Fiesta dapat bibilin ko last February), the Ford Escape was recommended.
do you think its a good SUV for my mom? i really dont know why she wants an SUV (baka iwas baha) or maybe simply because we haven't had any SUV ever since. we live in paranaque and she frequents makati and sta rosa (laguna). and very soon, we will all transfer to sta rosa.
please help me decide. parang, 50% ang decision ko eh. 50% kasi sobrang ganda ang binibigay na promo (laking discount). 50% ayaw ko kasi nadidinig ko sobrang lakas sa gas.
thanks in advance.

I heard the 2.2L Escape does fine. Though in my experience with the older 3.0L V6 Escape, the economy was really bad. As if that's not to expect. :D Though IMO, there's still a bit of masculinity in the Escape -- design-wise that is. Hence, I would recommend a more uni***-oriented vehicle such as the Tucson, Sportage or the ASX. Both are albeit newer too.
The Tucson Theta II, as per experience has poor fuel economy. But if you're leaning towards the R-eVGT variant then it should do good. About the Sportage's economy, no idea.
Pero pinaka-bagay talaga sa mom mo yung ASX.

thanks renzo. maaasahan ka talaga kahit kailan!
but i checked the prices of those other choices. mas mahal ng malaki kasi. kung malapit lapit lang ang presyo sana.
ford is giving the escape to me at 1.06M tapos more than 100k ang discount.
2.3L pala ang engine nya. first time din namin na magkakaron ng any engine bigger than 2L. kaya wala talaga akong idea kung gano kalakas sa gas.
ASX is 1.2M right? tapos wala pang promo.
