Hi, I'm new here at tsikot, just inquiring about the performance of v6 escape ,

3.5km/l all rush-hour
4.5km/l regular MM traffic
not that quick compared to manual 1.6L cars
if you're looking for performance, look at the subaru forrester turbo instead.

Thanks for your quick response. Aside from that any other feedback about it? I'd already traded my 2Liters escape to v6, made reservation too! How much is the Forester?

aside sa matakaw sa gas, ano pa ibang problema ng v6?

That's about it. There is the questionable resale value common to most Fords, though.

Wow... That's bad city mileage... I'd heard of 5-7 km/l.... but I didn't know it could get that bad... sabagay, most owners I know are probinsyanos... mostly highway driving.

Maybe jonats' (at fordclubph.com ) complaints of 5.6 km/l in the 2.3 aren't so bad, then...

Sold my 03 escape 2liters manual for 600k, ok naman performanc, except for the clutch recall, ok na pagkatapos ng replacement free of charge, 7k/l takbo city driving, don't feel it's underpowered kasi umabot sya ng 180kmh sa nlex at sa skyway na apat ang nakasakay na hindi nanginginig ang manibela . Binenta ko kasi phase out na baka mawalan ng clutch parts e . How much naman yun resale price ng V6?

Nakagamit ako ng Escape V6 A/T From Valenzuela to Sta.Ines Nlx ok naman ang speed, ok sakin ang hatak. Computation namin ng FC is 7km/lt. Top speed 150Kph. Sa friend ko yong Escape.

Top speed ng v6 umaabot lng ng 150kph? Siguro automatic transmission kasi. Sana gumawa sila ng manual na v6 para sulit talaga ang power. Nagtest drive aku ng xtrail 2.5l sa macapagal blvd., nag-uup n nag-ddownshift yun transmission parati, kaya lagi nagjejerk yun sasakyan kung kailangan mu ng high rpm! bitin! v6 sa alabang center lang test drive kaya d ko masubok yun power. May iba pa bang nakapaghataw ng higit pa sa 150kph ang v6?

Siguro kaya hangang 150Kph lang takot nako isagad. Pero sa tingin ko kaya pa. Pag take off naliyad yong mga sakay ko. Hindi pwede i compare sa 1.6 na sedan.
Walang jerk kapag dumiin ka sa accelerator pedal. Makikita mo lang mataas RPM.
Ang problema ko lang sa Escape is 5 seater lang sya.

The 2.3L offers better bang for the buck IMO. A couple of my titos have the '05 2.3L model and they get around 7km/L++ in the city and both are pretty happy. I test drove the 3.0L V6 before and it wasnt as inspiring given i was expecting more from the engine.

based on my experience sa company car namin 2004 3.0 v6 escape ( AT lahat ata matic namin eh)

city driving 4.5-5 km/l
highway 6-7 km/l

warranty claimed;

busted alternator worth 50k daw..
ayaw mag reverse ( palit sensor)
dead battery right after 1 year
check engine light turn on/off couple times... mahal pacheck 2k ata

great suspension and ride quality
interior IMHO the best in its class
sound system above the average
powerful engine

hindi kaya dahil pangit ang performance, hatak at fuel mileage e dahil sa Automatic Transmission ng Ford? Sabi sa C&D or Motortrend online sobrang pangit ng A/T ng mga Fords... Mas maganda pa daw ang GM A/Ts....

Speed limiter? ibig sabihan maximum speed nya umaabot rin 180kmh? Stable pa rin? hindi naman parang nepupwersahan?
