2012 might spell the end of the world according to the Mayans, but Ford Philippines is just building on their momentum as they prepare for the onslaught of three all-new nameplates this year. Under the One Ford platform, make way for the arrival of the all-new Ranger, Focus, and Explorer 2.0L GTDi EcoBoost.

The all-new Ranger will make its grand arrival at the upcoming 2012 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) and should - with its 21st Century Tough character - blow the competition right out of the water. After spending some time in the gym, it has grown bigger and more muscular than ever before. It can now fit three full-sized adults at the back in absolute comfort, keep six soda cans cool in the center console, hold a full 16-inch laptop in the glove box, plus the rest of your living room furniture on its full sized pick-up bed. Since MIAS would open at the end of march. I wish that ford philippines would post a pricelist for the new ford RANGER.

Explorer will be the Evoque for less, since they will have the same engine. Shocking to know that Ford is supplying the engine to Land Rover...at least the 2.0 petrol engine, not sure about the diesels.

Comparing the upcoming focus to the current one, is it alright to assume na mas "proven" to be a daily drive yung current version?

It will arrive later this year, because production of the 2012 Focus in Thailand begins mid-2012.

Ford also supplies diesel engines to Land Rover and Jaguar. The 2.2L used in the Evoque and in some Jaguar sedans such as the XF and the current XJ is shared with the Mondeo, all-new Ranger and the Transit van.
