We had one and I really miss it!
:bwahaha:. Yung sumunod na model dun is yung rounded na ang hood with rectangle lights.
It is the base model of those XLT clones in Pampanga.
Binili ng tatay ko yung for Php75k bnew then we sold it for Php150k after 16 years. Bilib ako sa chassis nun, after 16 years, wala padin tama ng kalawang.

I still remember with fondness the 'Ay Pinoy' ad of the late Bert 'Tawa' Marcelo.... hehehe
Pangharabas.

October 21st, 2006 03:57 PM #24These are the workhorse of the 70's & 80's. Durable and practical (easy to maintain). There are still quite a handful of these in the cities but mostly in the provinces.

Ah, the Cimarron... riding home from school in one, the engine bucking like a horse (tamang tama lang, di ba? Kabayo naman talaga ang Cimarron), buckets of pig slop headed for my uncle's farm leaking all over our shoes and school bags, the smell of buses overtaking us at 40 km/h... ah... memories...
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

binili namin yun 1983 bnew.
it has an isuzu c240 engine. ang pinalitan p lng dun eh ung body works due to rust ska ung differential nya.
ginamit din namin to dati as school bus kya talagang bbugbog sa gamit to. but it still runs :D
im planning to revive it to its original body design. tapos a few upgrades. just for the fun of it :D

btw, the Nissan Bida is actually a re-badge Ford Fierra... Nissan bought rights from Ford when it left us back in 90s.

The good ole Ford Fiera....
Yung orig steering wheel nya is all steel na parang flat bar ung gitna.
Brings back good memories kapag nakakakita ako ng mga units na tumatakbo pa...which reminds me these models of the same genre
