Just got me new Escape 4x2 2.3L XLS last Friday, Dec 28. Had the tanked filled up, approximately 5L. Used it for around 200km already (mostly city driving),and half na lang based sa gas gauge. Tataas pa ba FC nito after breakin period?
Now lang ako nagka personal car. Dati puro company car na may fleet card, kaya walang pake sa FC. Ngayon, tatlong isip if hahataw o hindi.

Ford Everest A/T (70% city, 30% hiway) first full tank 8.01kms/L. Odo reading: 498 kms.

Km = 499 (odo = 575}
Li = 45 {2nd full tank from unioil)
Running rpm = 1500 - 3500
Provincial road driving (no expressway & no major traffic)

Question po, ano ang advisable speed for best FC sa Expressway like nlex? 80-100 lang ba dapat? Or faster pa ba dapat? Thanks

Depends on your car. Generally, 80 kph.

At that speed, usually you're already on your car's top gear (5th or 6th with most modern cars) and still at a low rpm (roughly 1500-2000).

With my own car, I noticed that I can do 15-18 km/L when I stay constantly at 6th gear traveling 75-80 kph. Of course, I'd die of boredom doing that so I settle for 12-13 km/L while traveling at 100-120.

My XLT MT gets 8-10 km/L in city driving. The AT shouldn't be too far off.

Got my Wildtrak 3.2L AT

So far highway doing 90kph I get 7.7L/100kms so thats about 12.98kms/L

city with mild to medium traffic cuz of holiday I get 9.6L/100kms = 10.4kms/L

Will be doing a long relax drive to isabela I will be happy if I see or come close to 14kms/L

W have a Montero GLV-V same engine as the strada. I can get 9-10kms/l spirited hwy driving. Trying hard I get 11.5kms/l

Comparing it with our old fortuner AT 4x2 we get 11kms/l spirited driving in the hwy.

Our wildtrak 3.2L AT gets 12.98kms/l normal hwy driving. I have not tried my spirited driving yet as it is still new.

Update - subic trip I experimented going different speed. Note I started taking fuel consumption after the toll plaza so no traffic situation here. Using cruise control on nlex

Going 80kmh 15.15kms/L
90kmh 13.51kms/L
100kmh 12.5kms/L
120kmh 11.7kms/L

4 passenger AC on all the time

Trip around QC normal working traffic

10.5kms/L

Tried to go to Megamall SALE big traffic from C5 then being stuck trying to park

Whent down to 8.5kms/L

These are average data stating 600kms ago

2011 Ford Focus TDCi (DCT)
Shell marcos highway marikina to Vigan in 5hours, carrying 5people with baggage.
Fuel consumption: 5.8L/100km trip comp. hindi na nag full tank method kasi walang shell vpower na nadaanan. pero lagpas ng onti ng half tank mark ang naubos ko (55L tank with approx. 8L reserve), estimate ko mga 25L ang nagamit for a 430km trip.
left the gas station sa marcos highway around 2am and arrived at vigan around 7am. no traffic since december 25 bumyahe and hanggang urdaneta na tplex
Ave speed NLEX,SCTEX,TPLEX: 110-115kph
Provincial roads: 70-100kph
was using manual mode para mas in control during overtaking.
