Need your input guys. I'm considering buying a Ford Escape. What's your average FC for pure city driving? how about hi-way driving? I have to decide soon because I need a car during the holy week going to the provice. Thanks a lot.

any idea on the fuel consumption of a Ford Explorer 2001 model?
someone's offering me. Any feedback on fuel and parts will be highly appreciated, cause this will also serve as my guide. Thanks!![]()
may idea po ba kayo ano po Fuel Consumption ng 2003 ford expedition?
TIA
isn't the 2.0l escape engine known to be gas-guzzling, underpowered and rather antiquated? Mazdas aren't known for being fuel efficient compared to Honda VTEC or Toyota VVTI. Also the horror stories about the MT transmission Escape make you think twice about owning one.
The RAV SV uses a manual transmission, got a smaller engine, smaller over-all size and lighter weight. My escape is all of the opposite..kaya mas matipid talaga ang RAV.
I've also installed K&N finer filters.
Escapes equipped with manual transmission has a clutch problem..too bad.
baka naman mas better matched ang 2.3L engine sa escape rather than the 2.0L?
baka naman hirap yung 2.0L kaya ganun...
Hi, Guys!
This is my first posting.
Have been thinking of buying a small car and the "pica" (As most of you would call it?!) seems to be interesting. I have read some discusssions re the pica gas consumption but could not find any comments the A/T version. Anyone of you have this info?
Questions re reliability bothers me. Can any of you pica users give me an idea?
Hi po, welcome...

Checked out the link u gave. Wala pa rin doon mka sabi kung ano ang gas cosumption ng matic na picanto. I suppose that this should differ compared to other A/T's becoz of the small engine. Kung sa 13-2000 Liter cars 1-1.5 km/l diff, baka sa 1100 mas malaki.
Or, baka nman pareho lang. Anyone here who have this info?

Hello!
Having gas problems. Hehe. I have a ford focus 1.8 hatch. It goes around 8.5 km/l mixed mostly city. My odo reading is just under 5k. Is my FC going to be better when my engine really breaks in?
Thanks a lot!

Give it time man. It will improve.![]()
8.5 km/l? Depends on the amount of traffic. Sounds about right. Consider that you have a powerful engine there... not just a 1.5 or 1.6 liter engine, and the Focus is a heavy car (it's about as heavy as an older Accord or Corona). It should improve by 1 km/l or more after 5000 kms. Follow oil changes religiously, keep your tire pressures high (don't go below 30 psi), and make "birit" from time to time. This is important in "seasoning" your engine. We've seen a difference of 5-10 hp on the dyno for Focus/Mazda3 engines that are properly broken in versus engines that are "babied" all the time.
You'll note... quite a lot of people are quoting OVER 10 km/l on the highway. But if you're looking for 10 km/l in traffic, you're looking in the wrong place. Only small subcompacts (Picanto, Jazz, etcetera) get over 10 km/l in city driving. Even Civics and Corollas can get as low as 7-9 km/l in the city.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
