Ford Focus 1.8 Ghia A/T Engine light is On. Help!

Hi to all tsikot members,

Baka meron po makatulong sakin regarding sa problem ko with my 2006 ford focus 1.8 ghia A/t. Nung isang araw kasi na kita ko yung wire sa makina na nangat ngat ngat ng daga, I'm not really sure kung ano yun pero nung na disconnect sya nag kaka problem ako sa dashboard and there is a message na transmission malfunction. Yung feel ng sasakyan pag tumatakbo is that hindi smooth yung shifting nya, so I think that wire is connected to the tachometer which gives signal sa transmission kung kelan mag shift. Pero ngayon ok na so na kabit ko na yung wire so smooth na yung takbo nya. Pero ang worry ko eh meron parin yung light ng engine light wala na yung message na transmission failure. Baka meron naka experience ng ganito or maybe you could give some tips how to fix this? By the way I have already tried disconnecting the batter to reset it, I'm not sure kung para mag reset yun.
