Indeed the Fiesta has the best fuel consumption in its class based
from actual test drives in Thailand:
Ford Fiesta 1.6L Sport
City: 7.5L/100km = 13.33km/L
Highway: 4.5L/100km= 22.22km/L (Prius like FC!)
Ford Fiesta 1.4L Treand Sedan
City: 8.1L/100km = 12.34km/L
Highway: 5.9L/100km = 16.9km/L
TO: All Fiesta owners
What's your actual Fuel consumption here?! We need this info before considering this mighty Fiesta. Thanks a lot!

October 27th, 2010 01:53 PM #2Wow.

I bet those are just SA or let me say "marketing" Fuel Consumption claims, I just know since I own one of the most fuel efficient cars to date in our country, and with the traffic conditions here, kahit ang .8l car ko hirap abutin ang ganyang figures.
Example would be 22km/l for a 1.6 in a highway, no matter how advanced the technology of the fiesta is, kahit controlled highway driving hirap paabutin iyan sa ganyang figures. Kahit maintaining ka ng 80km/hr * overdrive gear in a highway, mataas na mataas na ang 15-18km/l sa highway.
but then again I don't own one so I can't prove this, yung owners ng Fiesta ang makakapagsabi ng totoo.

1.6 models have the dual-clutch 6-speed Powershift transmission.
Precise clutch control and quick shifting help improve fuel efficiency.
First time for me to hear about the 22km/L figure...
According to a Motioncars test...
"Gingerly modulate the throttle and you’ll get close to 17 km/L."

You can use your tripmeters para di ka mahirapan instead of memorizing your odometer from start to end, just reset it after a full tank...
