Just got our 4x2 Titanium. Medyo matigas ang ride compared to the Santa Fe and Montero. Dahil siguro sa 20" rims. Very surprising yung gaan ng steering niya.
Try to test drive also the Trend variant it rides comfortably because of 18 inch mags and higher tire profile then test drive the Ambiente you will feel that the ride comfort is still noticeable even with 1 inch difference on size of mags. I was able to test drive all three variants when Ford conducted test drive campaign at High Street, Global City.
I also have 2 sets of OEM mags & tires on my Ranger size 17s and 18s, the latter is heavier by 4 lbs. total of 16 lbs. for the set. Riding comfort, acceleration and braking is better on the 17s and has better fuel efficiency because of lower unsprung weight kaya I use it on long drives with heavy load but the 18s more stable on cornering...imagine how comfortable, quicker and shorter stopping distance the 3.2 Titanium will be on 17s.
Pero syempre mas gwapo at macho ang 20's kaya consider lighter wheels and maximum tire profile if you have plans to upgrade your OEM wheels.
Tire change nalang muna tsaka na wheels. I like the stock wheels pa.
Mickey Thompson is cheaper na pala compare to Nitto. Difference of 2k per tires. Currently using Nittor Terra grappler sa F150 ko 18" happy with it pero I want to try Mickey any comments. Thanks!
Galing kasi ako sa 09 Santa Fe at 09 Montero. Byahe ko araw araw QC to Alabang.
I agree handling is very good. Doing 60-80kph cornering on those zigzag going to Legaspi but ride will sacrifice.
