Hi po. Just need your advise. Have several loan approvals na po for a 2.2 Titanium. Pero still deciding between Titanium and Trend - ano po ba sa tingin nyo ang mas magandang choice based on our requirements? Been reading the forums for a few weeks now, and would appreciate real world insights from those who have been in a similar situation - what did you choose and what was the deal-clincher/deal-breaker.
While I love the add-ons and colors of the Titanium, my concern is the 20" tires - wala po budget to replace the stock. I am also concerned about long-term maintenance.
Use case scenario:
The SUV will be an upgrade from an 8-year old Adventure (still running great by the way). We will use this as a family car, with no intent to replace for at least 5 to 7 years.
Also, may news po ba about 2017 upgrades? Willing to wait po kami if meron.
Thanks in advance to those who will give their 2 cents.

Buy what you can afford ... save some money for maintenance and unexpected expenses ... and even if you can afford, buy the cheaper one and invest the rest your money ... the Ford Everest Trend variant is already quite loaded with features for it's price ...
Same situation before, trend or titanium. Eventually went with aluminum metallic trend but initially loved the blue reflex body color. Thought beige interior looked classy but hard to maintain the only deal breaker. Got confirmation of right choice after reading some problems with sensors and auto headlight levelling. Maintenance cost for both would be the same except for the 3.2 variant.
2017 titanium eves now come with grey interiors and sync 3 head unit. Would have chosen titanium 2.2+ variant if I were to choose now. Though more than a year after am still enjoying our eve.
Hirap talaga pumili pero its the kind of problem na people won't mind having. Congrats in advance sa new ride mo sir
Thanks for all your inputs Sirs. And yes, it is a happy problem - a blessing - thanks for mentioning that.
I am happy about the sync 3 and the dark leather interiors, but these actually made the choice more difficult. The beige interior/sync 2 would have been a deal breaker.
Was thinking, since we are buying for long term, might as well buy what I want (meteor gray or sunset red). On the other hand, the difference in MA is also significant - can save those for my daughters' schooling. And I do not like those 20" tires, but do not want to spend money replacing them for the 18s. Would you know of trade-ins for such cases?
Would appreciate more insights. We need to decide by next week. Either way, would proudly post our Eve here, whatever make she may be.

Your welcome Sir, glad to be of help. If I'm not mistaken, meteor grey and sunset red is only available for the titanium variant so I guess trend is out already. The 2.2 titanium+ would be a good choice wala ka na hahanapin pa. As for the wheels, 2nd hand stock titanium 20" wheels and tires range from 50k to 65k. While the 2nd hand stock 18s of the trend goes for around 35k.
Still mulling pa Sir - and just between Trend and Titanium (not plus). I think the wheels may be a deal-breaker and is more important to me than the color. I prefer the 18" of the Trend actually - in case I get the Titanium, can I trade the 20s for 18s without cost from my end?
Trend is becoming more and more attractive now given it's already sync3 and because of all your inputs. Thank you!!!

I would go for the Trend as well. For me only the upsized wheels are enticing on the Titanium. But you can get that from Banawe/Evangelista/FCP. As Head-On posted, around 20-25k net cashout for the 20s if you trade in your 18s.
That still leaves you with 175k savings. Just spend that for something else (like your daughter's schooling as you mentioned).
Now, if you really want the Titanium-only colors, just weigh your options if the color you want is really worth the big price jump. For some people, it's worth it. Personally it's not.

Trend on 18s has better ride than Titanium but those 20s really do look nice. Downside of.the 20s is that it is prone to scratches due to the outward design of the spokes.
*darkspark, if choosing between the trend and titanium, I would also go for the trend, almost same na features ng trend at titanium (additional from trend to titanium ay chrome accents, heated side mirror and puddle lamps, ambient lighting and illuminated front scuff plates, front sensors, reverse cam, blind spot monitoring and electrochromic rearview mirror and the 20 inch wheels na mas matagtag). pero titanium plus premium package binili ko, hehehe. Medyo mabigat din sa budget kasi 100k additional for additional bells and whistles, I'm a sucker for sunroofs (140K na yata premium package, tapos nag taas pa price ng titanium by ~20K yata, while the rest of the variant stayed same).

^^^ There's also the additional knee airbag for the Ford Everest Titanium ...
Meron na po bang nakapag-change from 20s to 18s on a Titanium without any additional cost?
