I think the best way to find out is to go to a tire shop selling mostly 2nd hand rims with tires already fitted and "rent" the different rim/tire combinations and see what fits and what rubs. Papayag naman siguro sila, like pay P50-100 for each try.

Pag di pwede 275/55r20 (1.45" bigger than oem) i'm seriously considering 275/60r18. It is only 0.53 inch bigger than the oem 265/50r20 (diameter 30.46") and hopefully much better ride than the 20s.

Kausap ko kanina sa Tunying's yung driver ng ex-ceo ng royale ganda daw ride ng new everest ambiente. Yup, ambiente lang binili nya for his mother haha!

Tire diameter affects tire revolution. So check first with gps speed kung accurate nga ba sa speedometer ang factory installed tires. Usually cars sold here run slower than what the speedometer says (ex. Speedo is 100 km/h while gps speed is just 95 km/h) because of tire sizing. If your current tire is 265/50/20, running a 275/50/20 could correct the speedometer deviation. For bigger diameter tires installed on lifted SUVs/Pickups, a differential regear is needed to correct power delivery and speedometer reading.

FC could also be affected by the type of tires used. 10-ply tires are usually heavier than 6 or 3 ply tires. A/T is also heavier than H/T.

    😉
Yup, agree with you. Wheel size also contributes to total diameter. Mas malaking bilog mas maraming kalsada kada ikot tama? :D

Also thnking the 18" pero pano yun TPMS meron ba kayo alam to bypass it? Tsaka boss tagtag talaga ha kasi kanina lang sinakyan ko yun F150 ko leafspring likod nun ang layo talaga boss. I think kelangan talaga ng springs and shocks, pag diko na kinaya to gagarahe ko nalang muna tong everest ko until meron na upgrade sa spring and shocks.

OT lang ha every time i turn page may pop up ad kakainis na sobrang daming advertisement. Or baka ako lang Thanks:D

And then there's the much improved self-leveling system (also a enhanced wishbone) used by German Suvs and Hyundias/ Kias

So i cannot comprehend how each iteration / or new model of say an Everest / Montero would have mountains of improvements sa FC over its precedecessors.

In larshell's, i didnt know it's a 3.2. A pajero 3.2 averages 8-10km/ liter. So maybe it's safe to assume that all 3.2 regardless of manufscturer will fall to that 8-10km figure.

2.2's on the other hand will fall to +2 to +3. That's why most Forts and Montys today are averaging 11 to 12km/ liter highway long drive.

A batch of 2.0 to 2.2s are crossovers meaning carlike softer suspension systems, meaning lighter metals than ladder frames. And these are the santa fes and the tucsons, sorento. And they average 13-15km liter.

Kaya Kahit ano pa gawin review dyan 2 years from, 5 years from, kung walang revolutionary change sa suspension technology, FC will always be

    13-15km / liter for 2.0 to 2.2 cross overs
    11-12 km/liter for 2.2 to 2.5 ladder frames
    8-10km S liter for 3.2 ladder frames

Regardless of car manufscturers. Manufacturers just use those patented Suspensions systems since year 90s or later. The same way as New Chinese cars are affording royalties on them

Actually, the lesson has been existing since decade ago, how come a Jimny with a small body and small engine only averages 6 to 8km, eh kasi nga same concept suspension and heavy metal as our existing pickup based Suvs.

Regarding the question what SUV i will buy

If gssoline, Id buy HRV or Juke
If diesel, id buy New Tucson CRDi

Why? Diesel has no benefits talaga if you ask me. Yes you save on bumper traffic, pero diesel engines are too moody to own. Dami ka-artehan. Diesel engines require 3sm batteries which are 8k / unit which last only 2 years. And us being du,ping grounds of dirty diesel, kawawa lang talaga engine mo. And you pollute the environment too. And of coursem driving ladder frame in bumper traffic, it's like bringing a desktop to a hotel event, where everyone else has a laptop

It's an illusion. The usefulness of diesel is you will haul a big family all the time. As in everyday. That's why PUvs use it.
I think the big difference in consumption is not due to ladder frame or whatever frame. The reason that one is FWD while the other is RWD.
