Ford Escape not worth it?

I just purchased an Escape last year and i already wasted so much time going back and forth to Ford Alabang.

I already made several complaints to Ford alabang's Service Manager and emailed regional VP of Ford Asia and his counterpart in the phils about my concerns, but did not received any reply or even an acknowledgement.

sa tingin ko, a brand new car should not have so many breakdowns and problems. Kaya nga tayo bumili ng brand new para iwas na tayo sa sakit ng ulo. I already have given up and accepted that they will just ignore my concern, anyway isang SUV lang naman ang binili ko sa Ford at di nila ika-kalugi ang mga complaints ko.

I am sure Escape is a nice SUV but unfortunately, there are few na hindi maganda ang Quality Control.

If i can return or go back in time (just my opinion) i would not buy it and probably choose another brand o carmaker. I am happy sa Honda noon and now i regret bakit pa ako lumipat sa Ford.

I am sure there are a lot of happy Escape owners out there. I am just relaying my own experience so that hopefully it will make future Ford owners informed.

Would help if you listed down the problems you've encountered with the vehicle instead of making a general rant with no details.

I'm planning to buy a brand new Ford Escape next month. With your post, medyo kinabahan ako. Why? What are your problems with your Escape? Do you think isolated case lang 'to? Please enlighten us. Thanks!

Thats a big possibility considering the Escape has been around for a couple of years already and this isn't a known issue.

Its funny that a lot of people still buy diesel Toyotas considering that the problem of the D-4D is much more common.

BTW, since this is under the Ford car talk, feedback naman dyan about the 2010 Ford Escape. I'm planning to buy one kasi this month or July.

I also posted in the comparison thread, comparing Escape XLT vs. the new Tucson GL vs X-trail. I actually fell in love with Tucson first given its great exteriors. but when I saw how loaded and value-for-money Escape is, parang more or less 80% sold na ako sa Escape.

What do you guys think? My only apprehension about the Escape is medyo old na yung look nya. I'm kinda concerned na baka maglabas na sila ng bagong model and maluma na agad yung binili ko. I'm not so much concerned about the gas since I think nasa driver lang din yan.

Please help Ford/Escape owners! TIA!

Buti nabasa ko agad eto. I'm a 3 month Ford Escape owner. The 4x2 XLT version. Very happy pa naman ako sa unit ko at no problem so far. Nakakagulat lang kase sa Ford Alabang ka pa mismo nagka problema sir. Di bale may contact po tayo dyan, Ford Alabang, Global and Libis is affiliated po sa group namin (Escapezone).

Kindly list down all the problems you encounter on your ford. History na rin ng PMS kung sa labas or casa. Name na rin ng SA nyo na makausap ng officers namin.

Sir kung 2010 Escape kunin nyo is new model na yan. Actually yung pinagkaiba lang nila sa 2009 is yung grill sa harap then integrated na yung foglamps nya kahit sa XLS model. Kung may extra cash ka sir, 4x2 XLT na kunin mo. At kung sure ka na, ok rin kumuha sa Ford Global, pwede kita introduce dun sa hinde ka lolokohin na SA. Pwede mo hiritan ng accessories and discounts. He's also member of our group (Escapezone). Good luck sa car hunt mo sir.
