Expedition and other V6/V8 engine on LPG

Fellow Tsikoters,
Do you have any feedback on the converting huge gasoline engine to LPG? I have a friend that is seriously considering converting his eddie bauer exped to LPG at the cost of 40k with a promise to improve the mileage per pesos by 50%.

Would it be really possible?
