The B-Max is the tall hatch/MPV replacement of the euro Fusion.
Ford will unveil the production version of its B-Max ‘compact multi-activity vehicle’ at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
A small MPV set to replace the aging Fusion, the Ford B-Max features sliding side doors to aid access to the rear seats.

Even with the B-Max intended to replace the Fusion, the Ecosport would still be suitable for the European market, mainly in former communist countries and some with extreme weathers such as Iceland as a low-cost alternative to the Kuga (Escape), and it's also quite predictable to face competition with the upcoming Opel Mokka...

It would probably fall in the same size segment as the Rush.
The new EcoSport should be close to the size of the outgoing model which is a tad bigger than the Rush.
Based on the exterior dimensions of the outgoing EcoSport, its closer in size to the 2nd gen Rav4 but with smaller wheels.
If the Escape is the crossover SUV equivalent of the C-segment Focus, the Ecosport is the crossover SUV equivalent of the B-segment Fiesta.Last edited by AG4; February 6th, 2012 at 11:59 PM.

Russia is one of the former communist countries I quoted before. BTW not just Brazil, entire Latin America is one of the target markets for the Ecosport, from Mexico to Chilean Antarctica. Current version made in Camaçari, near Salvador de Bahia (Brazil), is already successful in export markets.
