Ford PH issues recall for Territory crossover | Autoindustriya

According to the automaker, the crossover's Electric Battery Sensor (EBS) bracket, together with the wiring harness attached to the bracket, have a tendency to break. A broken EBS bracket may lead to the engine not starting after being switched off.

eto ba yung same sa ecosport na parang may nakapatong pa sa ibabaw ng battery? i don't know with ford engineers why they designed it that way.. dami need to remove just to get to the battery...

my tita asked me to perform basic maintenance sa ford eco nya due to expensive casa prices.. i bought the consumables sa autosupply.. grabe yung cabin filter.. dami need baklasin just to access it under the dash.. sa ibang sasakyan, glove compartment lang tinatanggal eh.. sa ford, halos kalahit nung center console eh baklas.. naka torx screw pa instead of ordinary philips head screw...

Parang ayaw nila ipagalaw no? Hindi DIY friendly. But if you know what you’re doing (maybe watched some videos) and have the tools, its quite easy. Ganun din sa Focus namin, hindi agad accessible ang battery, air filter and cabin filter, but after you’ve done it once it’ll be very easy next time.

After that, nasanay na rin and it was a lot easier. Gulat din ako sa air filter. Napabili tuloy ako ng 8mm socket na screwdriver. Sa umpisa lang mahirap pag di pa masyado alam papano gawin.

If you are referring to the big box above the battery of pre-facelift EcoSport, that's the ECU (I think this was relocated beside the battery on newer models).

I believe the EBS (Electrical/Electronic Battery Sensor) is the small boxy thing attached to the negative cable/ terminal of the battery. I googled an example of an EBS.

It’s a bit of a challenge to change the cabin filter on the Fiesta. It has two stacks of filter that you put on top of each other. You put one first then press it to fit the second one on top.

Mazda 2 namin ganun din. Same design. Pagpapawisan talaga magpalit ng cabin filter sa mga sasakyan namin. 😂

    poor design.
with all that vibration, one would have expected... heck! in all due humility, i could have predicted that breakage!
the old designers who used their noggins instead of the computers, have probably all retired...

Doc, if you're referring to the shape where the bracket comes down from the battery sensor towards the battery pole, you'll be surprised to know, they're replacing it with the same design. But they took out that other branch that goes the other way and grounded to the CVT.

    highs!
it'll probably last longer, but will still fracture just the same.
it's still the same lollipop design!
lollipop. relatively thin, light bracket, heavy head.

    in the olden days,
the battery terminal was connected to a long, flexible cable that did not mind vibrations...

Yung problem is if in the middle of road trip mag break.
Okay sana if madaling i DIY, mag stock lang ng extra part ang owner.

Yes, most owners have already bought the 10cm 25mm2 wire with lugs for emergency fix.
