Normal lang for soft-roader AWD systems to overheat when being pushed. It's what happens to an open diff when there's a speed differential across axles, also presumably the same reason why that Forester got destroyed during PMVIC testing.

Watch this video, it happens to several cars (VW Tiguan, Mazda CX5) in the comparison:

That’s what I was thinking too. Crossover based yung Bronco na yun, it can happen to any crossovers. Grabe naman, inattribute agad sa pagiging Ford eh. 😂

Anyway, maybe they should have named it Bronco Lite instead and didn’t market it as a hardcore off roader.

As if majority of owners will actually drive their Ford Bronco Sport (or even the Ford Bronco) offroad like what they did in the tests ...

The Badlands trim has a liquid-cooled Power Transfer Unit ...

People should read the whole article instead of just the title ... "the journalist let the vehicle sit for a few minutes. The four-wheel-drive system seemed to recover and function well, successfully managing the climb." ...

Overblown lang yung title ng article. The vehicle was still able to recover. However, damage was done to the image of the vehicle.

Same as owners of the Raptor. Not all of them would take their Raptors to the tough areas of the baja region.

Better opt for the standard Bronco model instead of the Escape-based Bronco Sport.

The current Ranger Raptor in the US already is powered by the 2.7L Ecoboost V6 rated at over 300hp.

The Bronco Raptor shares the same engine as the Explorer ST. The 3.0L twin turbo V6 is rated at 400hp. It might get a bit more power on the Bronco Raptor.

Right now the closest thing to get the ranger raptor in the US was the ranger tremor. Only with the 2.3L ecoboost engine.

Which still has more power and ample torque for its size. Even more power than our local Ranger Raptor diesel.

Yes, the US Tremor off-road package is similar to the FX4 Max offered here/ Asia-Pacific.

I think it's possible, the only issue is getting units. The chip shortage of 2021 made the waiting list longer.

PS: I've seen a video of a gray market Bronco unit here. Ford is probably monitoring that.

The GT500 was becoming popular with the gray market luxury car dealers here, next thing you know, Ford launched it here officially.
