Normal lang for soft-roader AWD systems to overheat when being pushed. It's what happens to an open diff when there's a speed differential across axles, also presumably the same reason why that Forester got destroyed during PMVIC testing.

Watch this video, it happens to several cars (VW Tiguan, Mazda CX5) in the comparison:

Better opt for the standard Bronco model instead of the Escape-based Bronco Sport.

The car in the video is the Bronco Sport, which isn't the real Bronco but a crossover based on the Escape platform riding on the Bronco name. I guess that's why expectations are higher than your typical AWD crossover. Sana di na lang nila sinama sa Bronco lineup. Engine options are turbocharged 1.5L 3 cyl and 2.0L 4 cyl.

meron reality show sa history channel dati yung off-roaders sila tapos mga lumang 4x4 rigs ang dala nila to cross the wilderness... parang survival ang theme ng show.. yung mga V6 engines kayang kaya yung akyat eh.. pero yung naka 4cylinder hirap talaga..

forgot the name of the show eh.. pero ok din yun kasi pushed to the limits yung sasakyan.. talagang baragan ng pang ilalim at makina eh

Big difference between the Bronco and the Bronco Sport. It’s like the Jeep Wrangler compared to the Jeep Compass.

The Bronco Sport is more like a CUV fitted with AT tires and some electronic features for its axle. It is not supposed to be an off-roader like the Bronco.

That’s what I was thinking too. Crossover based yung Bronco na yun, it can happen to any crossovers. Grabe naman, inattribute agad sa pagiging Ford eh. 😂

Anyway, maybe they should have named it Bronco Lite instead and didn’t market it as a hardcore off roader.

As if majority of owners will actually drive their Ford Bronco Sport (or even the Ford Bronco) offroad like what they did in the tests ...

The Badlands trim has a liquid-cooled Power Transfer Unit ...

People should read the whole article instead of just the title ... "the journalist let the vehicle sit for a few minutes. The four-wheel-drive system seemed to recover and function well, successfully managing the climb." ...

Overblown lang yung title ng article. The vehicle was still able to recover. However, damage was done to the image of the vehicle.

Same as owners of the Raptor. Not all of them would take their Raptors to the tough areas of the baja region.
