I'm nearing 6k km already. I do hope the traffic condition improves in Sucat. It's a grind each morning just trying to get into Skyway or SLEX. With the worsening traffic with the coming of the Xmas season, I expect FC to be higher.

*waikiki83 - one thing else, use 95RON fuel (Shell VPN+, Total Excellium, Petron XCS, UniOil 95) on the Fiesta Ecoboost. It's the recommended fuel for your engine. If you have the luxury of fueling something better (Shell VPN+ Racing, SeaOil Extreme97, Petron Blaze), that's much better assuming you hit the highways everyday.

Ano na fc mo sir egan? I'm currently using seaoil and phoenix premium sa gas. Basta ubusin ko muna laman ng tank saka fill up bago.

And I don't think this is normal for that engine displacement even with its turbocharger. Parang ang baba pa rin for me ng 7-8km/L na FC. Decided na talaga ako although advise saken ng Ford na have it checked and serviced muna and so I did naman kaya this Friday icheck nila pero alam ko naman na walang problema yan dahil bago pa. And to think Molino-Alabang-Paranaque lang byahe ko nun tapos I had a short trip to Laguna ganun kabilis agad. Hindi ko naman nilalampas sa 2k rpm and lahat na ng fuel saving habits ginawa ko na. Kesa in the long run mamulubi ako sa gas turnover ko na. Mas makakatipid pa ko siguro kung ipapalit ko ay yung 1.3 variants ng Vios at City. Just saying!
usually magiging mas matipid yan after 1K to 5K sir.

With the worsening traffic conditions in my normal route (Paranaque, Makati, and Taguig), I can only do 8 km/L. Even the Skyway and SLEX are in a crawling state during rush hours. However, on some days when traffic is light in Skyway/SLEX, 5L per 100km is easily achievable. Heck, even with a cruising speed of 100kmh (rpm of just above 2000) in Skyway during light traffic, fuel efficiency is around 6.5L per 100km.

*waikiki83 - congrats on your new ride! Check the tire pressure at baka medyo bloated from the casa. Keep it within 31-32 psi kung 1-2 passengers lang karga mo daily.

I think the one in the video is experiencing "Sunk Cost Fallacy". He is in too deep (invested). I do feel for the owner though and hope, his repairs can at least last him longer if he wishes to continue to keep it.

    i am wondering,
if the breakdowns keep repeating, despite adequate replacement...
if i were me... kelan kaya mapupuno ang salop?

If you finished the video, it said that owner actually sold the car immediately 😆

    early in life,
i made the mistake of buying an ex-taxi.
i spent a lot of money repairing it, before i finally decided to sell it. by that time, it was already running reliably and looked decent enough.
knowing what i know now, that i did not know back then,
i was wondering, how long it would take me this time, to get my rid of another such car, should, by sleight of life, it find its way inside my garage.
do i repair it as before, or do i get rid of it pronto, as is, where is?
    heh heh.
