I really thought so too. 1st variant yan ng dry type double clutch auto-tranny system, it's my first time to hear of it in 2010. Yun sa VW/Audi are wet type (fluid) double clutch system called DSG at are a few years ahead and proven na.
Objectively, the transmission overheating warning on the screen this early is something to worry.Personally, i'd prefer it changed under warranty!
Regarding the PIG plates, hope mine won't have itkundi lagyan ko ng buntot yun white na Fiesta ko

meron na. It's somewhere posted here in tsikot(?) if I recall correctly. The case of a gentleman from Tarlac or Pampanga (?) who bought his new Focus TDCI sa Pampanga. Lemon car na tumitirik
.
Change unit ang ending. Happy ending in a way, but he has to pay depreciation cost somehow.

My concern here is the type of message in the "Information Display".
As per page 62-63 in the user manual, there are 4 messages relating to the dual clutch transmission. 2 of them tell you if the tranny is hot, and what to do, either stop or speed up to cool it.
The last message is "Transmission ready", good to go.
The first message is "Transmission Malfunction service now". Thats the one you dont want to see.
I think I read somewhere that the Dual Clutch transmission is not serviceable, so if it is f****d, then they will have no choice but to either install a new one (which will probably take forever, as I doubt the even have replacements in the country) or give you a new car.

Hi sir,if i may suggest, use the Talisay way going up to Tagaytay. Why, it has challenging slope climb and turns. It will exercise your transmission and driving prowess. It will test also the power of your Fiesta.
Sometimes, by just turning off your engine and starting again, would reset the display info of your unit. I hope glitch lang yan, but you smelt burning rubber, so muhkang hindi.
