I remember years ago, when I was new in traveling, and pasalubongs were expected from me, I chanced upon a stand of ferrero chocolates that were on sale, like less than half their original prices in HK, during our flight's layover.
I noticed that they're about to expire within the next couple of months. I bought about 6 boxes and brought them home.
Tuwang-tuwa ang mga nabigyan ko...

except for fresh milk and dairy products, na pag sinabing expiration date di mo na pwede i consume, pero for other items like chocolate you still have 2 months para kainin huwag lang yung may mga nuts such as almonds and walnuts

Today I organized our food stock and had to throw away so many expired items like canned goods, pasta, chocolates and 1 box of gatorade (hurts the most). I felt so immoral to throw away food. If only I could still eat/drink it but then I might end up sick naman. Minsan kasi pag napupunta sa likod ng shelf nalilimutan.
