Skilled pala ako kung ganun cause I sometimes go through that like 2x a month before when I go to Gen Tri from Lipa (Tagaytay-Gen Tri through Crisanto Reyes Ave. in Amadeo) & VV.
Going down, you can smoke your brakes & suffer brake fade if you don’t use your engine brake.

I think I drove here once & it scared me sh*t! I was then driving my old big body corolla which was prone to problems already. It was very late at night & it my first time to drive there. It was very dark, with no lights, & all trees. No other cars were there, & it felt like was a never ending turn going up. I was scared na masiraan ako, or may multo, or mag holdup hehe. After what felt like eternity, was able to see some light from some houses, & was relieved that I was able to see civilization again hehe.

I could imagine, all the more since you were alone. Nung 80s may road kami dinadaanan sa Calauan ata, it was the first time for my Dad, brother and I to pass there at night and I ended up crying sa takot LOL. Same scenario, no other cars, no lights, no houses and the trees on both sides of the road are caving in on the middle

Most provincial roads are dangerous. Going up Tagaytay before at 10 pm via Sta Rosa Rd, a man hiding behind a tree threw a rock at me, shattered my windshield. Happened in that stretch of Camp Vicente Lim.

Teka parang nawala na ang usapan sa buko pie [emoji23]

Bibili sana ako nung The Original Buko Pie bakeshop sa may Caltex - Lumil gas station along Sta. Rosa Tagaytay road. Last 2019 pa ako nakabili [emoji23]

Kaso nung nakita ko sa waze may mga standstill traffic reports along NLEX and SLEX SB, inabort ko yung road trip plan [emoji17]

I used to ALWAYS pass by Rowena's whenever we go to Tagaytay to buy their apple tart. Buko tart is so so. Buti meron na silang branch sa Nuvali (is it still there kaya?)

I can still remember the first time I drove to Baguio with my dad's Honda Civic 5th gen LX model 1.6Li manual transmission. It was way back 1997 summer, my dad decided to take Marcos highway instead of Kennon. It's our first time to try out this highway so we got lost and ended up climbing at Naguilian highway instead.

It was already nighttime when we arrived at Naguilian. I was the driver with my dad coaching me when to overtake, etc. I only got roughly 2 or 3 years driving experience at that time. My mom was scared all night with me tackling the curves and overtaking along the dark Naguilian road.

After we arrived at our destination at Baguio, my dad told me not bad for newbie climb to Baguio [emoji23]

Another route to Tagaytay if you are looking for your buko pies is the Crisanto delos Reyes Ave. that goes through Amadeo. Not a lot of cars, occasional trikes & jeeps, no buses, light traffic. Turn left at that corner of McDo in Gen. Trias. Safe maski Gabi.

If you want something different, though a bit pricey, the coconut pie of Wildflour is very good
