First time I tried Tenya, it was takeout and eaten at our office. I didn't enjoy it AT ALL because fried food + sealed containers is never a good combination. Everything was just so pale and soggy.

When we ate at their restaurant though, they were redeemed haha. Good soup, good tempura + Japanese rice plus the sauce. Yum.

like sushi or ramen.. japanese food isnt good for takeout. the chefs prepared them to be eaten after its served.

Oh. Tried it twice, both dine in and I was not happy For reasonably priced Japanese food, I go to Nadai Fujiosba

Tenya Tempura now because specific for tempura yung craving ko haha. Even their mushroom tempura is good. For any other Japanese food cravings, my go-to places are Nihon Bashitei and Kikufuji.

I got purga with Tempura because my Dad loves Japanese food and all I ordered as a kid was Tempura. It really annoyed my Dad

I don't like Ramen as well. Though I'm curious about Mendokoro ramenba on why it gets so many raves.

Best local Japanese restaurant for me is Tsukiji. It is just a different experience but the price is not friendly. For a quick fix near my place, I go to Niku Maru BF Homes. The food is authentic and affordable.
