June 13th, 2007 06:36 PM #35Worth a try is La Copa Wine and Resto Bar infront of Domestic Airport. Romantic ambiance coupled with reasonably priced spanish dishes and steaks. Wont make a dent in your wallet.

June 13th, 2007 07:20 PM #36le souffle is good although hindi ko masyado gusto ang steak nila and medyo mahina ang aircon.
my suggestion: ano ba ang favorite food ng GF mo? isip ka ng food na wala sa menu na gustong gusto ng GF mo tapos ipaluto mo yun sa resto. special di ba? hehe may special menu ang le souffle. i know somebody who has a signature soup in le souffle. its not in the menu and its very good.
me, i like cantinetta in pasong tamo extension (not the one in rockwell). very quiet and quite intimate.
IMO, for really formal full-course meals, sa mga hotel na lang (manila pen or mandarin). i'm partial to mandarin kasi mas masarap luto nila. (iwas ka na lang sa mga buffet nila. hindi yun pang-anniversary e.) however, if price is absolutely no object, there's a japanese resto in manila diamond hotel (in malate). medyo malayo sa target mo pero super exclusive ito. the full-course meal costs P80,000+ per person. i haven't tried it myself pero siguradong konti lang kayong mga diners diyan.
and don't forget to buy flowers. kahit ano pa sabihin ng GF mo, iba pa din ang mga flowers.
para sa gift, get her a louis vuitton bag. every girl ought to have one. get the "speedy" model. i honestly didn't realize this until i got one for my wife (wife ko na siya nang bumili kami nito). iba effect sa babae ng magandang bag (lalo na sa mga Filipina).

suggestions lang... okay sana nuvo pero maraming tao kapag weekends. thats my 'dine her' place before...
i always go to italian resto or somewhere na may pasta kaya puro italian suggestions ko
Cantinetta - pasong tamo, one of the best. not really 'fine dining'
l'opera - one at heritage another one at the fort. date place talaga.
il ponticello - salcedo, make sure 7-10 lang kayo or dadami na ang tao... look for rene the manager, sobrang okay ang service.
vivere skyline - alabang nga lang
papparazzi - edsa shang
nielsens - manila pen 'pang ***y times'
m cafe is good too. figs and olives if you want it casual and relax, price is okay too. le souffle is okay but tingin ko overrated na eh.
hotels are too cliche na... pero if you still prefer hotel buffet, recommend ko spirals or heat nalang kaso edsa shang na.
or then again why not bring her to your secret place? somewhere only two of you know... a place where you could sorta call 'you own...'
How? What to upload in lieu of the COC No?
