    Hello fellow tsikoteers.

kindly asking for recommendations for a fully automatic coffee machine. parang ganito:
    screenshot_20220120-090156_samsung-internet.jpg

gusto ng wife ko bumili but i learned that these things can get expensive very fast. may sweet spot ba ito in terms of function amd price? preferred brand? nothing too expensive please.

i'm not much of a coffee drinker kaya zero knowledge ako dito other than yung nabasa ko sa brochures. thanks sa sasagot.

we have the lower model of the photo you posted.
difference is that our milk container is not double wall and wala syang smartphone control.

its perfect if you love coffee, mga 2-4 cups per day

local price of our machine was 88K, if you order 3 lattes from Starbucks at Grab (+delivery fee), bawi mo na yung machine after 5 months (milk & beans not included sa calculation)

Delonghi will recommend that you use an AVR (we installed a 3K watts AVR as the machine is almost 1.7K watts)
Tapos we have the machine serviced at least every year (2.9K if no parts will be replaced)

A lot of our friends raise their eyebrows on the AVR and Service, pero our machine got busted na bec of PH's fluctuating power. AVR is a small price to pay.
Service - kanya kanya yan, pero its an expesive machine so nothing wrong to keep it working well

    Machine also needs regular descaling

When we were in Singapore, sobrang luxury lang yung machine sa house since we have very good machines sa office
Pero nung nag-lock down, it was a very good purchase

here sa Pinas, walang coffee machine sa office kaya having the machine allows me to bring my own coffee.

I have a similar model, ECAM350. If you really want to have perfect latte or cappuccino everyday, then this is the right machine. But if you just want black coffee, just get the cheapest bean-to-cup.

I also have the entry level Delonghi Magnifica S, almost 6yrs na eto and never been serviced. Just the regular descaling lang ang maintenance.

just sharing a story about servicing.

my wife's aunt used a PrimaDonna (same age as our Dinamica but it was never serviced)
The aunt replaced her machine with better one and handed the PrimaDonna to my sis-in-law

My sis-in-law followed our advice and had the machine serviced (for cleaning na din)... her bill, almost 8K! all gaskets needed to be replaced as the machine was no longer meeting the required pressure to make espresso.

No wonder our Aunt was so happy with her new machine, the old machine was technically no longer working properly.

thanks for all the reply. seems delonghi is a good brand. kaso nakita ko nakakalula dami ng models nila. my wife usually makes her coffee with milk. so will have to take that into consideration.

also there are some re-sellers of fb who sell delonghi at a discount mga 5-10k less depending on the model. brand new in box galing Quatar/middle east. personal import I guess. should we consider those even if walang warranty? sabi nila delonghi will service them but syempre with cost na.

    again salamat.

we carried our machine from Singapore... yes, DeLonghi PH serviced our machine
my biggest issue against them is that you need to bring the machine to their service center... they do home service in Singapore.

5-10k less for a brand new machine? (you can check the number of cups the machine made so basically, may odometer sya)
the odo gets reset every service

How do you check the odometer?

My old Magnifica S (6yrs+) still makes the same coffee as my newer Dinamica.

nag hahanap din kami nung philips lattego machines. sa internet kasi parang mas mura compared sa delonghi saeco etc. saka made in europe din. we called philips dito sa pinas and unfortunately di pa ata nila binebenta sa atin yun.

yung may steam/milk wand versus yung may milk cannister. may difference ba yun na i should worry about? or the same lang sila ng function?

steam wand - ilalagay mo milk mo sa cup, then steam mo to froth
yung fully auto (like the one on the photo, post #1)) - ilalagay mo milk sa cannister, then pili ka na lang sa machine mo if cappuccino, flat white etc

for me medyo hassle yung steam wand, there's a possibility na ma-overheat mo yung milk. medyo messy din
I personally will only use a steam wand kapag malapit sa sink yung machine

yung cannister naman, although convenient sya. the milk needs to be cold, so di pwedeng 2-3 hours sya naka-kabit sa machine. its also another accessory to clean.

I always return the canister to the ref after I make my coffee

    kami din...

pero naaalala ko kasi nung binebenta sa amin yung Dinamica na may BT Version.

sabi nung seller (in SG), I can leave a cup sa machine then before getting out of bed, make coffee using my phone.

later a realized BS sya and it wont work sa real world.

    Milk needs to be cold
machine will rinse before turning on and off

although cute yung may BT is may personalized specifics ka sa coffe mo (incl amount of ground coffee)

IMO, local support is very important

if 1-2 cups per day, I think a nespresso + milk frother will be a good alternative

I considered getting a fully automatic coffee machine before but 1) I have a small kitchen and 2) I only have 1 cup of coffee per day so tagal ng ROI. The savings from not buying the coffee machine, I use to have coffee outside nalang pag nagsawa sa homemade coffee.

I just use an ordinary coffee maker and a cheap coffee pods machine for my homemade coffee. 50% of the time black lang naman, so puhunan lang are good beans.
