Travelling is a great way to explore another culture, learn its history and experience its cuisine. But after a few days in a foreign country, you begin to crave Filipino food. So which do you miss the most when you’re abroad? Tell us about it!

I've never been away long enough to crave Filipino food but I guess I would miss Jollibee's chicken joy.

I remember when I was an OFW,- and Bahrain was our stopover, going back to Manila... We entered an airport restaurant and a Bahraini man approached our table, waiting for our order.... When he overheard our discussion (and obviously saw the tags on our carry-on bags that we took off from Saudi Arabia),- he suddenly blurted out, "O mga Filipini ito,- bigyan ito ng baboy... ".... Ang galing magtagalog!!! Tawanan kami.....

Bagoong, nung nasa Malaysia ako for more than a year, hindi rin ako nakakatikim ng bagoong, then may nagbigay sa kin ng bagoong galing Pinas, inulam ko sya for 2 days straight, agahan tanghalian at hapunan, bagoong at kanin lang. I stopped on the 3rd day kasi masakit na batok ko, haha.

Another is purefoods hotdog. Malaysia being a muslim country only have beef hotdogs or chicken dogs, also Franks, and other sausages. Nung minsan nagluto housemate ko ng purefoods hotdog bigla ko sya na miss.

Another one is lucky me Mami, ibang klase instant noodles natin, sya lang yung maalat at matapang sa flavoring. Yung mga instant noodles sa Malaysia bland ang lasa.
