You bet! Soda is so sweet that it dulls the flavor of the food. There was a client VP I have worked before that he orders different beers during the course of the meal. He likes to pair a specific beer with a different food. I do remember that he prefers Stella Artois to pair with his dessert.

I don't know with others but I can't seem to appreciate the taste of Red Horse. I find it a bit unrefined and it does not have that distinct flavor unlike the original SMB pale or Cerverza Negra. I do like strong beers (8% to 12%), specially the Belgian Trappist brands which has a variety of flavors to choose from.

If you're in the mood to try a cheap high alcohol content beer, El Diablo (12%) is something as coarse and unrefined but stronger than Red Horse.

^^^ Sa Pioneer Center supermarket, marami foreign beer options. Wala pa nga ako nakita ganyan dito pero sigurado try ko yan kapag nakakita ako. You can try other good Belgian beers - Tripel or Rochefort or Westmalle or Golden Draak or Chimay.

^True, gulat din ako sa imported section ng Pioneer na grocery. Medyo hidden gem sya haha.

Re: beers, favorite ko Super Dry, then Red Horse, then Pale. Never Lights kasi parang yung natunawan na ng isang basong yelo yung lasa. Pag medyo fruity naman gusto ko, Brew Kettle.
