Meron kayo alam ano brand pili nut masarap na available sa metro manila? or nagship from bicol or albay or anywhere sa pinas.

Sa supermarket kasi meron halo iodized salt eh ayaw ko yun. Kung sea salt or rock salt sana.

Nagcheck ako chocolate lovers and all about baking wala benta pili.

    Nainterest kasi ako for health.

Usual nuts and seeds kain ko pumpkin, sunflower and my favorite pecan.

Yan ang mali ginawa deparment of health. Every processed food meron iodized salt. Kaya dami wreck ang thyroid hormones ngayon. Haba pila sa endocrinologist. Over iodized.

Kaya ang shift ngayon eh natural sea salt/ rock salt.

So pag bili ako potato chips ang priority ko lays or pag local yung color blue na jack and jill potato chips. Yung orange packaging iodized salt yun

Pwede din oishi sea salt potato chips.

check the product info fine print. some processed foods use non-iodized salt.

actually, what i was alluding to, is that many imported processed foods use non-iodine-fortified salt. iodine is not mentioned in the product fine print.
even our favorite frito-lays. whatever iodine it has, comes from the un-edited iodine content of its ingredients.
manufacturers say "iodine-fortified or something", when they want to emphasize its iodine content.

the philippines has mandated the use of iodized salt in foods processing and manufacture. so if the product is manufactured in the country and has salt, expect the salt to be iodized.

Yan ang sabi doon sa commercial funded by deparment of health.

    "MAg-iodized salt, iodized salt tayo"

Tingnan nyo ngayon hindi na sila kasing strict as before na dapat iodized salt gamit.

    Kala nyo ha.

i think the stall outside Shopper's Mart Ongpin is open year round...although afaik mas masarap siya when in season, usually around Christmas until Chinese New Year.

i passed by Ongpin last week, parang meron na rin sa labas ng Bee Tin grocery(not Eng Bee Tin).

Nung bata pa ako, there was an urban legend going around that martial artists would stir the hot gravel with their arms to strengthen them. Thankfully none of us were stupid enough to try it

It's been awhile since i've had a bag of pistachios. The ones from Growers and Tobi's just don't taste the same.

all year round ang canned nuts sa grocery.
i sprinkle 'em onto my ice cream.

and yes... students of martial arts would be seen along echague during the 'ber months, mixing the castanas and the pebbles with their hands, heated by an open flame underneath. pampatigas daw ng daliri.
and the towels over their heads and backs, provide the non-iodized salt...
    heh heh. yechhh!

    I love nuts! My favorites

    1. Pistachios
    2. Pecan
    3. Macadamia
    4. Peanuts (I know it's a legume)

I don't really count calories except recently since I want to know the average calories I eat a day. I was shocked with the calories in Macadamia Nuts! 210 calories for 12 pieces! I could eat 30 pcs in one sitting kaya hahaha
