Sofitel's Spiral for me is still arguably the top choice for buffet. Quality of food and selection is always good. Be prepared to shell out at least P2,600+ per head though, unless you have a voucher or have their privilege card.

Recently tried Niu by Vikings (SM Aura) which is supposedly the "premier" version, and was rather disappointed. Food area was cramped, choices were the same old stuff. I had a better experience in Vikings SM Marikina.

Buffet 101 is a good alternative for Vikings, especially when they have cheap deals.

Yakimix is good choice if you're after a quick fix of unlimited sashimi. Other than the barbeque dishes, nothing really stands out.

tried city of dreams' le cafe last week. never again!
- P1188 price as advertised is only for casino club members. the price is different if you do not have a casino card.
- price does not include 10% service charge, 12% vat and 2% something i forgot what for.
- does not include drinks. a glass of fresh pineapple juice cost P400.
- our bill was P4500 for 2, way above the P2400 i was expecting.
- THE FOOD WAS SO-SO! Vikings and Dad's/Saisaki/Kamayan beat them by a mile in taste and variety of choices. the only thing better was tuna sashimi which was top quality tuna. foie gras? bleeeeh!



if you're there better if you just go to the restaurants on the upper ground level instead of le cafe.

Wow this is some kind of revelation, we browsed thru the selection a few weeks back and found Le Cafe enticing and the pricing wasn't that bad, especially during the off-peak hours. Didn't realize they have hidden charges, though I did remember asking for the nett rates and they weren't as pricey as you mentioned. For that rate, you should have ate at Spiral instead.

Heat is very classy and homey. Pwede magsama ng date.

Vikings sm aura. Terrible floor layout? Food score: "b minus" very busy during lunch time. Crowd is behaved somewhat.

Floor can get slippery and oily. They have the cutest girls though. Lol

Spirals: vertigo inducing selections. Best luxury buffet imo.
